South Lakes High School is operated by Fairfax County Public Schools. Located in Reston, Va., the school offers classes to students in grades nine through 12. It provides instruction by trained teachers in a range of subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, career and technical education, fine arts, foreign languages, performing arts, and physical and special education. South Lakes High School also provides various services and facilities, such as library resources, guidance services, a media center, alumni association and parent resource center. The school offers a variety of sporting activities, including football, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, golf and wrestling. It provides several student activities, such as a band, chorus, drama team, French and Latin clubs, German and Spanish clubs, National Honor Society, Bible club, robotics and photography clubs, newspaper society and cricket club.
