Provided by YPmobileFinishing up a one year lease and am not renewing.
Positives:
1. The actual town home is wonderful. Reasonably new, well designed and built.
2. Brad the maintenance guy is thorough and takes pride in the community. From my renting experience this is not always the case.
3. This has been a family-oriented community where the kids can safely play and have a lot of friends. *please refer to negative #3 below*
Negatives:
1. Solicitors knock on your door every weekend when the weather's nice. It gets really annoying. If Management would put up a sign that said "No Soliciting" the problem would be solved.
2. Office staff is incredibly inconsistent. Someone will promise you something one day and the next day that person is gone. This community is a "training facility" for new leasing consultants so the service is usually below par and the staff constantly is changing. I had read reviews about this same issue before I moved in, thought it wouldn't bother me but trust me - at some point you are going to get burned because of this.
3. A new crop of tenants have moved into the community recently that are a little on the sketchy side. It's not specific to a certain town home but several. They have had trouble renting the units out in the past so I'm not sure if the rates have dropped causing a new crop of people to move in. Because I have children this is one of the top reasons we are leaving. Just today a heard a man cursing loudly while playing basketball on the other side of the community while mine and other's children were playing outside.
4. Your water bill will be at least $75 a month. It was over $100 a month at some point. Apparently the water bill is now split between the community based on the number of people in your household. It's a problem that's unresolved from my understanding.
5. There are no community events. A real shame considering the open green space in the center of the community. Doing something like a dog party or Easter egg hunt, etc. would have been a fun idea. This goes back to negative #2.
6. Parking is a nightmare. Don't have people over, just don't. Your friends will just keep on driving.
Overall, I'd try to find somewhere else to live if you can due to the negatives explained above. For the high rent we pay, I expect better. This really left a bad taste in my mouth for Preferred Living (the management company). You definitely feel like they are trust trying to make a buck instead of making you happy and renewing.

Provided by YPmobileThese people nickel and dime you for every little thing. I was told that "normal wear and tear" would NOT come out of my security deposit and my refund ended up being $5.60 out of $300!! They charged me for a friggin light bulb and dry wall damage that their maintenance man did when fixing their cheap broken blinds!! Oh and scuff marks....seriously?! Because paying $1,219.00 a month wasn't enough?!?!?!
