Provided by YPmobileHello I had a swap done in my 92 honda prelude back in 2010. Recently sold it last weekend because I couldn't get the car to pass smog. Before I get to the main point. I'm not sure if you guys are still open but I hope not and people see this review. I brought my car in with a h23 non vtec to swap in a h23 DOHC vtec. My car sat there for about three weeks instead of the promised 5 days. After receiving the car ran horrible with hesitation and check engine light. Brought it back and these guys were no where to be seen. Called their number and they said they were on a business trip to make plans to open a dyno shop a few streets away. I said ok I will call back. Called back days later and nothing. I put more money into the car to fix. Car was leaking oil like crazy so I looked around and it was a really old and banged up oil filter. Common?!? I gave you guys new parts to put into her. New motor oil. Filter. Water pump. And timing belt. Second guessing if you put the new belt and water pump. These guys were a mess .. Amateurs. This message goes to Chris; main person I talked to. Car ran good and strong with my effort but not from this shop. Caused me to spend more money that I was supposed to. Ok so I sold her and became good friends with new owner. He loves it .. To find out that my vtec was never hooked up running on the original p14 ecu? Common again? Why would you tell me you bypassed the vtec solenoid? And did a full dyno run at your " friends" shop. Common man. Just horrible. With your shops work I was destined to give up my car. What a joke lost a lot of money invested into that car.

Provided by YP.comShops like this should fall off sooner or later. All they want is your hard earned money, but they give you half-assed service. They might give some people good service but the majority they just scam. Stay away from them even though their price seem pretty good because it's like what they say "you get what you pay for, or if its too good to be true its probably is". After I learned my lesson I refuse to take my car to any shops unless I have to. Just learn to work on your car, that's why we have the internet. Just do your research.

Provided by YP.comGold Auto's did an OK job on my brother's 93 si Prelude. They did an H23 non-vtec swap because my brother overheated his car. He told us it would take about a week to complete the swap. He got it to me in a little over a week. Not too bad. I test drove it with him and the car felt strong and responsive. I did not see any leaks or problems with the way it ran until we test drove it. My brother and I were about to leave and the car wouldn't start. I was a little concerned about that, but he checked all the spark plus wires and unplugged each one to make sure they were properly installed. It started after that without any issues. I assumed it was just a fluke and that the fluids just needed to recirculate, but it did it again. It was having a hard time starting after it was driven for a while so, I decided to look at the spark plugs myself. They were the original spark plugs! It had rust and all kinds of buildup on them. It was obvious that the motor had been sitting for a while corrosion to buildup like that. It also had oil all over one of the plugs. I was clearly disappointed on the lack of detail on the swap. How can you forget to look at the spark plugs? So, I replaced them with brand new NGK platinum. So, I figured I might as well change the oil and filter while im in there. I go to remove the filter and it had a huge dent on the top side of it! How do you miss that? Another disappointing blow to their quality of service and attention detail. To top it off, the oil pan had a huge dent on it. Lastly, the plug to the O2 sensor was not plugged in which led me to believe why the car was having starting issues after it was warmed up. I took a chance with this shop from craigslist and I don't believe I will be going back there again. If you go to this shop make sure doublecheck everything. And I mean everything. (I.E. Spark plugs, oil pan, all sensors, etc.) It has been a month since, they did the swap and the car drives fine. The car does sound like it needs a valve adjustment as it sounds like its ticking already after a 1K miles. I give this shop a 2 out of 5 for not doublechecking everything that was needed. How can you return a car to a customer with a dented oil pan? corroded spark plugs? A disconnected O2 sensor? and a dented oil filter? It simply shows that they either rushed the job or they just overlooked those key parts of the motor.

Provided by YPmobileReally? Spreading rumors is wrong unless you have proof. I know for a fact they've worked with riverside county detectives and scat. Also they're members of the better business bureau. Last but not least they did a great job on my car and have good customer service. If they stold something from you tell the whole story but don't just slander hard working people.

All of them a re car thieves and the reason why they sell cheap is because they buy come backs from other shops at the jdm distributor in East LA. Stay away!!!! Go at your own risk
