Provided by YPmobileA big "Thankyou" to the men and woman who work on these squads. On Friday evening, 7/17, my 7 year old Grandson was playing with his older brother and a friend. One of the older boys picked up a golf club and swung it as a practice shot! He never realized my Grandson had walked over, and the driver hit my Grandson in the forehead, and opened his skull into a gaping, bleeding hole! As soon as the paramedics arrived, which was so quickly after the call was placed, the attended to my Grandson in such a great way, that he immediately calmed down, and I'm sure he felt much better. They sat on the ground next to the boy and comforted him all the while as they took his vitals and asked all their questions. They made him feel good mentally and physically, and assured him that they were going to help him. Also, they were very good with his mother, who you can imagine was beside herself with worry! Since the injury was so severe, they suggested going directly to CHOP, to have the wound evaluated! They told my Grandson that they would take him and Mom in the ambulance, and he would be fine. They made it out to be an adventure that he would be able to tell all his friends! The boy was so relaxed at that point, they had bandaged his head and said, so are you ready to go, he was so excited that I think he forgot about his head! I just wanted to say, sometimes all the training in the world doesn't matter, if you don't care! These two angels Do care, and they were wonderful!
