My wife was taken to the hospi...

My wife was taken to the hospital with what turned out to be a large kidney stone. The first procedure Dr. Yalkut did was fine although he did not reduce the kidney stone to a size that was small enough to pass. Why he did this I do not know but I assume he did what he thought was right and not just so he could do an additional procedure at a later date. A few weeks later I called at 8:30am, as I was instructed, to schedule the second procedure and I was told Tiffany was the only one who could do that and that she hadn't arrived yet. I asked them to have her call me as soon as she arrived and they said they would pass along that message. Finally at noon I called again to find out why Tiffany had not called me back. After being put on hold for over 5 minutes, Tiffany finally came to the phone and said she was waiting to hear back from the place where the procedure was to take place and that she would call me back and let me know something later that afternoon. At 4:30pm I called back and was informed that Tiffany had left for the day. Did the procedure get scheduled? Was my wife to not eat or drink after midnight? What was going on? Someone in the office finally phoned Tiffany and found out that the place had not called her back so she did see the need to call and inform me of this. The next morning she called and told me the procedure was scheduled for the following Monday (5 days away) at 8:30am. We arrived at 8:15am, we were sent back to be prepped and then at 10am were informed that Dr. Yalkut would not be able to be there until at least 2pm, 5 1/2 hours after we were scheduled to be there. We were asked if we wanted to wait or if we wanted to re-schedule. We chose to re-schedule. How unprofessional and inconsiderate can you be? No reason was given for the delay and since when do the patients have to run down the office staff to find out information that they were to supposed to supply in the first place? The office called almost immediately after we left the hospital and asked if we wanted to be first in line the next day. We said ok and were told to be at the hospital at 6am. My wife wondered if she needed to not eat after midnight again or if she needed to back the time up to 10pm since that would be 8 hours before she was to report. Tiffany said nothing after midnight......8 hours before. I pointed out that 8 hours before would be 10pm not midnight and she said 6 hours or 8 hours I don't know, I'm not the one who puts them to sleep. Really?
