My experience with Ashley HomeStore in general didn’t start off great. I had been to 2 different locations to look around for a general idea so my boyfriend and I could figure out exactly what it was that we wanted to purchase. I had asked multiple times to just let us do our searching uninterrupted and that was not honored at all. I know the sales team makes their money by sticking with the customers after they enter the store, but I had asked for space and that wasn’t respected. During my second visit, I had questioned if there was any flexibility to the price of a particular set or if Ashley price matched other companies selling the same set. I was told no and the salesman walked away and let us leave the store empty-handed.
Prior to my third visit, I called a 3rd location and asked why exactly price matching wasn’t honored (especially when the set I was inquiring about was made specifically by Ashley but was being sold by a 3rd party). I was told that a member of the sales staff would need to give me a call back to provide the info. That same day, a Sales Manager named Michael Hall called me back and was BY FAR the nicest salesman I’ve ever spoken with in my life. He understood every concern I had and respectfully addressed each one. He actually maintained communication with me via text for roughly a week while my boyfriend and I decided on the perfect set for the living room in our new home. He worked with us on the price, thoroughly explained delivery charges and the protection plan, and before I knew it we had made our purchase!

HUGE thank you to Mike for going above and beyond to help us. I appreciate it very much! Shout out to Kamal and the GM (I forget her name) as well for helping us with questions when Mike was out.

If you want a great selection and great service, the Ashley HomeStore on Broad Street is the place to go :)

This was my best experience shopping for furniture in my life. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of comfortable couches. I am not easy to please when it comes to seating options. Our sales person, Shacoya, was delightful. She was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. She made the experience enjoyable. I am usually bugged by pesky sales people who just seem to want a sale. But our Shacoya was more interested in helping us and making us feel at home.

I have had and am still having a horrible experience with this store!! I ordered and paid cash for my furniture on 09/12/2016 and it was indicated my furniture would be delivered the following weekend. I am still waiting on my furniture. When I spoke with the store manager, London, after I finished expressing my disappointment, he responded, "Are you finished?". Seriously? After I went off on him he did make it somewhat right by delivering my box spring and mattresses but he assured me I would have my furniture by 10/01/2016 and today I was told it will not be until 10/06/2016 at the earliest. What does it take to get the merchandise I paid in advance for?! And what does it take to get good customer service from this company?! I will NEVER do business with this store or any Ashley furniture store again based on this one!!

DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE, YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER. IT TAKES MONTHS AND MONTHS TO GET YOUR FURNITURE, THE FURNITURE IS USUALLY DAMAGED OR HAS DEFECTS BC ITS "HAND MADE".. CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM - "DEANIE FARREL, MELVINA, TAMMY" ARE ALL WORTHLESS AND SHOULD BE FIRED.. If you are heading to the stor...

If you are heading to the store on Broad Street in Richmond, I recommend that you do NOT do business with a salesperson named Davin Smith. He told us a series of untruths that created headaches for many, many Ashley employees and me. So many folks stepped up to make sure that I was happy, which is how I learned about their excellent customer service, except for the one person whose actions prompted my unhappiness.

Good Sales men Bad Customer service

Sales men are nice and very friendly. However, customer service is not good and even rude. If you complain over delays, they will make you feel like you are misbehaving over your complains. And they will tell you delays are common and they have no control. So what customer service do for customers? LOL



At the beginning of May 2010, I ordered bedroom set including chest, lamp table and another table for living room and sofa; quite a bit of purchasing.



Thanks to their production schedule was not meet to the first delivery date what we promised, they contacted me for updating new schedule.



As I like to have my bed first(; I have been waiting for one month for my bed after paying all money up front), I requested to split the delivery in that they told me I can get my bed and sofa, table on the first delivery and lamp table and chest later on 2nd delivery.



But guess what? Not only they didn’t send my bed at the first delivery but also they didn’t send 2nd delivery at all w/o giving me any of notice.



Customer service lady was not able to explain why the schedule has been disappeared in the system.



I had to reschedule the 2nd delivery again as 6/12/10. Today is 6/6/10. It is absurd I let them have all my money a month ago; am I doing finance service for them?



The next day on Sunday which is today, the customer service called me and complained that I came to store for the same question after talking over the phone and asked me if I understood what she told me over the phone….she raised her voice and made me feel like I was misbehaving.. lol I really don’t get it why I have to be in this situation with my money.



The reason why I get back to the store is that I needed to express if they cannot send all product by 12th of June,

I will reconsider of returning all goods as they were not able to complete their promise. and it will be 3 times breaking schedule date.



Again, the party who was not capable to keep the promise was Ashley furniture. Do I have to just keep my mouth shut until they are available to send my purchasing after a month and a week?



The customer service consented that if they are not able to send them all until the end of June 12th. They will pick up all products and refund all. We will see...

However, if you make big purchase at the Ashley?, I know that u will require lots of patient and well behave.

Do not pay upfront.. pay when you received if u can..
