Restoration Builders of Virginia has been in the business of breathing life into old and dilapidated buildings for 30 years. We have become specialists in the field of restoration because of our conscientious attention to detail and history. We believe that the history of older structures must be preserved and respected as an integral element in the fabric of our heritage. As such, our carpenters work closely with designers, conservators and preservationists to accommodate modern desires and utility without sacrificing the architectural elements that make old buildings unique. Our mission is to preserve the integrity of the building and the work of the carpenters that came that before us while improving the fit and function of the structure as it is used today.

I've used RBVA on several occasions, most recently to restore the double porch on my home in Church Hill. I have always found them to be professional, honest, and able to provide excellent work. They have expertise in all areas of building and restoration and are capable of working with and sticking to established budgets. Their work, in my case and in many cases of which I am aware, will last a generation or longer. I will use RBVA again and highly recommend them to others.

RBVA did an excellent job with saving our home (Dry Bridge) from certain destruction.

This Old Home of Hanover had suffered years of neglect, leading to moisture damage, rot, termites, excessive sagging of the floors, and ultimately took the impact of a 100+ yr old oak tree which knocked over 2-chimneys, and tore the roof off of our Dining Room.

RBVA replaced damaged wood, rebuilt the chimneys, re-roofed the house, levelled the floors, and supported the upgrade to Geothermal HVAC.

It was always a pleasure to work with RBVA throughout this process.
