Wendy Dotson joined Virginia Womenâ??s Center in 2016. Wendyâ??s midwifery journey dates back to 1984 when she first worked as a home birth midwife in Houston, Texas. Over the years, she has served a diverse group of women in homes, birth centers and hospital environments. Wendyâ??s friendly demeanor, gentle, sensitive and respectful approach instantly put her patients at ease during the amazing journey to parenthood. She believes that every woman has the right to a satisfying birth experience, and the right to be in charge of her own body and health. And, that nature and the womanâ??s own body instinctively will guide labor and birth. Wendy is excited to bring holistic, family-centered midwifery care to Virginia Womenâ??s Center.
