shocking

so went to fat tuesday a month ago and some of the food we ordered was okay but some of it was under oooked. when we told the owner he got angry and started using foul words around our kids. we did get new food but it was not better but it was okay because we were leaving anyway after the foul words around my kids also the floor was filled with flies and dirt and food. i wil never eat here again.

First let me say that this restaurant deserves 0 stars. In fact, the restaurant doesn't deserve to be in business after the events that occurred after a friend and I dined there last night.. For starters, the restaurant was not busy last night so waiting for service didn't take as long. We were given our drinks and ordered our items. Fast forward, the waiter made an error with our order which we brought to his attention. Instead of trying to fix his mistake, he goes to seek further advice on how to handle the situation from the owner of the restaurant. The owner comes over already seemingly agitated. After my friend and I tried to explain the situation he RUDELY interjects saying that we have to pay for the food regardless. He was very sarcastic and nasty to us-even to the point of taking the order and slamming it on the table and shoving it back in front of us. He didn't ask if we wanted to substitute the order for a new item...nothing. He gave us nasty, rude and sarcastic behavior. He talked over my friend as she tried to inquire about other items, giving her sarcastic answer and immediately shutting her down from attempting to resolve the situation where both sides could compromise. To make matters even worse, the owner raised his voice which immediately brought attention from the other customers to our table. Since there was no compromising with the owner we decided to make the best of our meal (which wasn't worth the money). The owner deliberately disrespected my friend and I which was not appreciated. After the meal we go to pay and unfortunately the owner is handling the cash register. After "thanking" us (???) I tell let him know that we weren't pleased with the food or service at all because he was rude, sarcastic and acted like an a_hole to us. As I was exiting his establishment he immediately lunged after me from behind the register to chase me outside and that's when things really turned for the worst. The owner confronted me with his bigotry and racial slurs. Had it not been for my friend and someone else his attempts at being physically violent towards me would have come to fruition. I was most taken aback by the racial slurs. The owner called me various epithets of "black b**tch" "black disgrace" etc. The highlight of his confrontation was when he really got upset and called me "n*gger" several times as well. The filth that left his mouth was unbelievable and very unnecessary. From the moment he stepped out of his establishment to the moment my friend and I departed, the owner continuously made derogatory racial slurs. It was sickening, it upset me and it is disgusting to know that people still have this backward ignorant mentality. The owner even made reference to having my grandmother in slavery. SMH This is highly laughable because he knows nothing about me or my family...?? Oh, and how can I forget that he had the nerve to call the police on us as well. He tried to get our tag number to have the police come after us, I suppose to reprimand me?? I don't know but we left. A night of celebrating a nurse's convention we were in town for was quickly ruined by bigotry and ignorance. Rest assure I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau of Mississippi. (As if they will do anything either) *sigh*

Understaffed, terrible service, mediocre food

On two occasions, we have gone to Fat Tuesday's recently. The first time we took a friend from New Orleans. The night we went they had one server working the entire restaurant. Needless to say from the time we sat down until the time we left the service was horribly slow. Not to blame the young lady who served us, she did the best she could and for that we were greatful. The drink order was slow to receive, the food order was ridiculously slow. All we heard from the owner was excuses that night. And how great his place is "normally". On the next occasion we thought it was a fluke the first time so we went back on a friday night. First my son, daughter in law and grandaughter arrived before us and they got a table that was designated for five or more. Since my wife and I were to be arriving any minute that would make five or more. But the owner rudely pointed this designation out to my son. After we arrived we waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, which never happened. We got up and left with the owner coming out and asking why? Duh?

I CAN TELL YOU THIS, THAT NEVER HAPPEN AT FAT TUESDAY'S!!!!! IF WE ARE EVER SHORT MY WIFE AND MYSELF ALWAYS WAIT ON TABLES IF WE ARE SHORT OF WAIT STAFF, WE ALWAYS CLEAN TABLES, WE WORK VERY HARD, I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN " THAT NEVER HAPPENED AT FAT TUESDAY'S
