bad experience

This doctor is just a money hungry doctor that will suggest more expensive products etc to the patient instead of what is ideal for the patient.. The woman at the front desk has a horrible attitude and customer service is horrible. I forgot my debit card and wasn't able to pay my $10 co pay immediately after my visit and she was adamant about me taking out my contacts that were used for my fitting and disposing of them.. keep in mind that my vision is 20/200, which is legally blind in some states and severe scarring and inflammation on my right eye.. I told her that was impossible because I didn't have any contacts and it is OBVIOUS that I cannot see she said that I could call back up and make a payment on the phone in order to get my prescription to get contacts. In a few days when it crossed my mind I called them to pay my copay, my copay had suddenly increased from the initial $10 to $45 dollars.. when I inquired about it she was adamant that my copay was $45 dollars and that i was aware of this copay from my previous visit, which was the first lie.. i initially paid the $45 and got off the phone with her and immediately contacted my insurance company to attempt to figure out the sudden increase in my copay, my insurance company reassured me that i was only responsible for $10 for my visit and had no idea where a $45 copay came from. i immediately called the doctor's office back and relayed the message and the administrative assistant (the African American woman that sits at the front desk with the curly black hair) was extremely confrontational with me stating that the "extra $35 went towards my "materials" and my current insurance only covered $90 so with my $45 payment my insurance would then cover $130, which was lie number 2 because my insurance alone already covered $130 worth of materials.. she stated that "insurance company's aren't always completely honest with the consumer and that they charge everyone $45". after i told her that if my insurance covers $90 worth of contacts then that was plenty for me she then changed what the $35 was needed for, stating that the $35 was now for a "sitting fee", which was lie number 3. yes, i am aware that some doctors offices charge "sitting fees" but that's not what this was for because if it was i would've been charged that $35 up front. After i confronted her about lying and about seven minutes of going back and forth with her she refunded my money. these people are extremely dishonest and will do anything to get a dollar. i wouldn't suggest ANYONE to use their business
