The service here is horrible now. I’ve used Sew Simple for over 20 years and even stayed with the company when the ownership changed, the fees increased, and the workmanship level decreased. Ms. Po no longer owns the business and has sold it to another family. They promised to have 4 items ready for me on Friday as I was going out of town and needed them for Saturday. I went in around 11am and I was told that they were not ready and to come back after 4pm. I came back at 4:15pm, and the daughter couldn’t locate my items on the finished rack. She called her mom 3 times to no avail. She assured me they were done. I finally located them on one of the to-do racks after looking for 15 minutes. They still had not been done. She advised that her mom was on her way back and that I could pick-up the items before 6pm. I asked her what time they closed and she said 5pm, but that someone would be there until 6pm. I arrived at 5:45pm and no one was there. The items were sitting on the counter. Needless to say, I didn’t have what I needed before I left town, and I had to purchase 4 more items to use and none of them fit the players properly because they weren’t altered. I’ve dealt with the subpar workmanship since the change in ownership; however, I can’t deal with subpar craftsmanship and horrible customer service. They even charged me for the items even though they weren’t finished on time. They did give a $10 discount since they weren’t ready on time. What about reimbursing me for the 4 new items that I had to purchase or charging me nothing since I had to rebuy everything and can’t return the original items because now they are hemmed? I’ll never use Sew Simple again!!!

The owner was on a personal call when I arrived, and continued her conversation just like I was not even there. I tried on and she pinned three pair of capris for alternations. The pants were picked up and I did not try them on, but obviously should have. I brought them back to her and she accused me of losing more weight and wanting free alternations, and was not remotely professional, at all. I paid $57.00 for alternations and do not feel like I got my money's worth, and the owner was a real jerk to me.
