Jasper County Fire and Rescue department offers a range of fire suppression, prevention, protection and emergency medical services. The department maintains a work force of more than 50 full- and part-time employees. Jasper County Fire and Rescue s firefighters are certified by the South Carolina Fire Academy. The department conducts a need-a-hug program for young children who have suffered traumas, such as fire-related injuries, medical emergencies and severe accidents. Jasper County Fire and Rescue is a part of the Jasper County Government, which operates administrative, development and engineering services, planning and zoning and health divisions. The department is located in Ridgeland, S.C.
