In 1940 W.J. Ayers started a family legacy. Beginning as a small hardware store in Ridgeway, Wisconsin, W.J.'s business grew to be so much more. He was soon joined by his brothers, Leroy and Gordon. In the early days, the Ayers store carried everything from hardware supplies and carpeting to appliances. As time passed, the store began to focus on furniture. Gone are the days of nuts and bolts. Today Ayers Furniture carries a beautiful array of furniture from quality companies such as Smith Brothers of Berne, Sealy, Flexsteel, La-Z-Boy, Lane, and many, many more. The small store expanded over time with the purchase of a few of the surrounding buildings, reaching a grand total of over 52, 000 square feet. The family grew too. In 1982 two of Leroy's sons, Gerry and Anthony joined as partners and took the lead as the second generation of owners. Rick, Leroy's third son, joined the business in 1987. Today the brothers take pride in offering superior service and quality. Take the drive to Ayers Furniture; it's really worth the trip.
