Provided by YP.comI've had nothing but wonderful experiences here! I love the eccentric owner and her beautiful horses! I was looking for an authentic riding experience and definitely got that here instead of a mundane, boring trail ride where horses have their heads down and look bored themselves! As an experienced rider I had a blast! I've also been up there when she was hosting a birthday party for sweet little girls that were painting the horses! If you're lucky to go on a hot day you may even take a swim with a horse, who can say they've done that anywhere else??? Everybody writing bad reviews about this place clearly had no horsemanship and we're under the delusion that they were good riders. When the owner asks if you're comfortable to go on a full gallop and people say yes and then they fall off, clearly they're not experienced Riders! You can decide whether you want to go on a full Gallop or just take a leisurely stroll through the woods, it's your choice. I can only say wonderful things about my whole time I've spent there. The owner is a very knowledgeable horse lady with many many years of experience under her belt. This is a good place to get lessons, a good place to take a ride, or to just come by the barn and hang out with some horses that love attention!

Provided by YP.comWe had a great time!! Terre is awesome and knows what she's doing! Make sure you listen to her and be honest on your riding experience! She will match with the perfect horse if you do that!

Provided by YP.comTerre was really good with my nieces (5 & 7 yrs old) - she took quite a bit of time to give instructions and explain what she was doing as she did it. Be prepared to spend time - this is not an in-out riding experience. Also be prepared to take control of your horse - it is not a follow-the-leader type of place. Had loads of fun!

Provided by YP.comGreat place. Terre is pure gold...a vanishing breed. She is no nonsense when it comes to the safety of rider and horses. She is articulate, knowledgeable, direct, and likes animal people as much as she loves her horses and dogs.

Provided by YP.comI highly recommend Peavine Creek Farm and Terre if you want a lot of pleasure and wonderful emotions! Our experience was so beautiful!!! Thank you, Terre, thank you, sweet horses so so much!!! It was WONDERFUL! Terre, she is so professional, so knowledgeable and she really loves animals - horses, dogs. Her horses are so friendly and amazing. They are very-very sweet! You can ride them, you can feed them, you can pet them. You can see there unique horse with blue eyes - wow!!! You can bring your kids here. It is absolutely safe with Terre. My 2 y.o. daughter was riding the horse (of course with professional help and assistance)! I am very proud of it! We will be back and will keep this amazing day in our hearts!!!

Provided by YP.comAbsolutely had a blast! Terry made our trip to peavine creek so fun. She really cares for and loves the horses and does everything she can to make sure her riders are safe and know what to do with each horse. She explained everything very clearly and guided us on acres of trails where the horses even got to gallop in places. terry explained to us how each of our horses reacted to certain things and properly informed us of what to do and not to do on our ride. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to horseback ride!

Provided by YP.comMy name's Autumn, and I've been riding at this barn for 7 years or more. I have a good relationship with the woman, and I've helped her many times with riding lessons, trail rides, or just cleaning up around the farm and taking care of her animals. Her horses are well trained and very gentle with people. Two horses are skittish, and spook easily, but that has nothing to do with training. Yes, she talks a lot before you get on the horses, but that's only because she likes to get on a personal level with her riders and their parents, etc. She really is sick when she says she is. She's 70 or older, and her kidneys do not function properly so she takes dialysis and is not able to do a lot of strenuous activity at one time. She does yell if you are doing something wrong, but it's because she doesn't want you or her animals to get hurt, or its because the people do not listen the first few times. This place is a nice place to ride, so please do not believe the negative reviews completely.

Provided by YP.comI had a great experience here!!! We called last minute to get in some trail riding before we left to head home from our mini vacation. Both me and my husband had been on horses before but it has been years. Terri was super knowledgeable and very personable. She had alot of great stories and advice. She even turned us on to some good local places to eat! We let ourselves in at the gate and walked up the hill. We got to watch her saddle up our horses and she made sure we were comfortable in the saddle. We got to ride inside to get used to our horses and then we went outside. We went through the creek, up hills, over logs and we got to gallop up the hill several times. It was a blast! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Provided by YPmobileI am so glad that I looked up Peavine Creek Farm. This horseback riding experience was by far the most wonderful experience I have ever had. And honestly, I have been on many trail rides and grew up riding horses. My fiancee, my youngest two girls, and myself went on the ride. Terre did everything to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and that we rode safely. She even took tons of photos for us! :) Getting the opportunity to spend time with her and her horses was a very big privilege and we cannot wait to go back. I would gladly recommend going to Peavine Creek Farm for your perfect riding experience. 5 stars, for sure!! :D

Provided by YPmobileWow! How does this woman stay in business?!?! heres a truncated list of the problems i experienced: -wasnt ready to meet me for the appointment that she made when i went to pay for my wife to have riding lessons -on the day that my wifes lesson was scheduled she didnt show up -she didnt respond to any phone calls that i made in an effort to remind her -she didnt return any text messages -when i finally heard back from her (after i requested a refund) she told me that she over slept, she didnt write down her appointment, she disnt hear her phone ring, she forgot to set her alarm, she wasnt feeling well, along with an onslaught of other excuses -then when i told her that i just wanted my money back her response was that she would but shes not in a good financial situation. This place is awful! Do not go to this place. It doesnt even deserve one star.

Provided by YPmobileI took my mom and sister horseback riding on mother's day this year. It was a lot of fun! Yes, Terry yelled but it was only if for our safety and for our own good. I felt very safe and had a lot of fun. I would definitely do it again!!!

Provided by YP.comHorrible place. The owner is a little rough, and she does not let you in, you have to let yourself in. The worse part is the horses---untamed, rough, stubborn and very dangerous. My wife suffered a horrible accident that ended with her going to the ER with a broken rib and nose. The owner herself does know about horses, but she isn't the type of person who needs to run a horse stable. I'm not belittling the owner--I'm clearly stating her horses are too dangerous and untamed to ride and she would be fully aware of this.
