Been a long time customer with rio rancho imports. They are far from the cheapest but have always done decent work. Recently i had my car in for service and it smelled badly of cigarette smoke. When i asked the guy up front about it i got a quick rude response that there guys do not smoke around vehicles. I said ok and left. I doubt i will use this shop again.

Extremely disappointing service for the money spent. I normally take my cars to the dealerships to get the work done. Having moved to the west side I was looking for a small business automotive shop that I could support with some work and save some money in the process. I searched the internet for a shop and found Rio Rancho Imports, There were several good reviews on the shop so I went to their website to see what services they offered.I looked at Rio Rancho Imports website and their mission statement said1. "It is our goal to provide dealer level automotive service and maintenance in a timely manner at a reasonable price." 2. "We believe that it is never cheaper to do it twice, than it is to do it right the first time."I took my vehicle to them for repair and unfortunately they did not deliver on either statement. They broke something else while doing the original repair and then it took them two weeks to repair the problem they created. Most of the two weeks was waiting for the part ordered but if the work had been done right the first time this would never have happened.I ended up taking my vehicle back to the dealer which ended up costing me more money. If you want Dealer level automotive service my advice is to go to the Dealer.

Rio Rancho Imports walks on water! If they take on a job, it WILL be done properly. What's more, they're reasonable. They are honest & trustworthy. I've been their customer for over ten years with no regrets. I'm moving to Iowa and will miss them. : (

Two days ago my husband took his new vehicle into Rio Rancho Imports for its first oil change. He told them what oil to use and they followed his wishes. Approximately 6 hours later he advised me that he messed up and had them put the wrong oil in the vehicle (he asked them to use 5w20, but upon checking his owner's manual he found it should have been 5w30). He immediately called the owner of Rio Rancho Imports, Randy, and asked him what he should do. Randy advised him to bring the vehicle back right away and they would flush out the oil and put the proper oil in. My husband left the house immediately and when he arrived at Rio Rancho Imports they took the car immediately and changed the oil. My husband fully expected to be charged again as he had requested the wrong oil, but Randy took responsibility and said that they should have caught that (the recommended oil was imprinted on the fill cap). A big thank you to Randy for his integrity and we highly recommend this repair facility to all.

My experience at Perfection Honda at 2603 The American Rd SeRio Rancho, NM, 87124 had been royally disappointing. I have recently brought my car in for the 120 K miles maintainance letting the service advisor know of some problems i've been having with my car specifically experiencing the car shaking when i go past 70 mph and when i step on the breaks. The receipt they gave me stated " Wheels checked and balanced. " Which was part of the 120k miles maintainance package. But the problem remained. I took it back the 2nd and 3rd visit and even left my vehicle with them for a couple of days. Again they gave me a receipt that the issues were resolved. But the issue i mentioned about my car still remained. So i brought in my car on the 4th visit in time for my maintainance as well and this time the service advisor metioned that the issue was because of my tires. He could have told me this during my 120k mile checkup or the 2nd or the 3rd which could hve saved us all time. After my 4th visit, the service advisor told me that i should take my car to where i purchased my tires. The tire shop rotated and balanced my tires and made sure the pressure was ok. Issue resolved within 30 minutes. Honda perfection stated in my receipt that they completed all these on my initial visit for the 120k mile maintainance package. Again a lot of time could have been saved if they truly did what they stated or informed me right away what needed to be done. I feel like just going around in circles with them. Whatever happened to being awarded for the best service you provide? Please re-evaluate your service department.

I recently was told by my big dealership on the hill that they could not figure out why there was a "popping" noise when I turned my Honda Civic right from a stop or slow speed. Since they were not worried, I did not worry either for several months. Then it started to become very loud, and decided to try Rio Rancho Imports.Within 15 minutes they came out and told me it was a ball bearing that had come out of it's socket under the front drivers side strut.I asked to see this, and was taken to my car on the lift. Low and behold there it was, a large ball bearing pulled apart and sitting over the receptive socket. Now I am not a mechanic, but if I were, this was so evident that a beginner could see it, why not the people at "Big Blue"?They took me to my home, fixed the problem by replacing both ball joints with the newer version that does not pull apart, and picked me up when it was done (I do not have anyone to help me with a ride).I am retired, but spent the last 23 years of my career travelling 30,000 to 40,000 miles a year, so I pride myself in keeping my cars in good repair, even though this one is now 10 years old.Thank you all for being so nice to me, and showing me what the problem was...I will be going back to them a lot, and feel lucky to find good neighbors like this....very unusual in this world today.

I was hoping to find an alternative to the dealership without sacrificing quality but this shop isn't it. I had my radiator replaced by them several months ago and was shocked today when a coolant flush was recommended by the dealer while I was in for an oil change. My first thought was that I was getting a sales pitch for something I didn't need but I played along and asked if I could see why it was being recommended. To my surprise the adviser encouraged that I come back into the shop so I could see and smell why. What I saw was coolant that wasn't a bright green but a dark bluish green liquid that wreaked of dead fish. When I questioned the mechanic that was nearby he mentioned that my car was probably filled with recycled coolant when the radiator got replaced. Recycled coolant!!! I paid a shop to repair my coolant leak and I got used coolant put in my car. I was already a little miffed by the fact that the owner of the shop chastised me for having a K&N air filter and Mobil1 oil filter on my car but to find out that he's perfectly fine selling me used coolant has me thinking that cutting corners is the norm at this place.

I originally started using this shop after reading some of the online reviews and was certain I would never use another shop again after my first visit a year and a half ago. It wasn't that they were the cheapest, they certainly aren't the fastest but the person that I dealt with (Erik) never made me feel like I was just there to spend money. I always felt like I was in control of the care of my car and trusted that what was being recommended needed to be done, so I made sure that it was, if not immediately then as soon as I could. After my last visit I found out that Erik was "let go" and had to deal with Jason that seemed irritated when he called and I didn't approve all the work, and an older lady that was indifferent when I came to pick up my car and rude when I asked that my card be run as a credit instead of a debit card because "it cost them more to do it like that."

Finding a good mechanic is hard, especially for a woman. If you think Rio Rancho Imports is the answer, you couldn't be more wrong! The charges continued to add up, at the end I was looking at $800. With everything that was wrong with my car that was understandable. However, I don't like being lied to. I was told my vehicle would be done at closing (they had my car for 2 full days). Apparently closing is now 8:30 pm for them...oh wait, it says 6:00 pm on their door. So I was lied to. I sat there for over an hour waiting for my car. I hadn't eated since noon and I started to feel sick. I kept being told it would be a "few more minutes." Either someone doesn't know what the word few actually means or they lie a lot. I ended up getting extremely upset, my dad got on the phone with them and the guy lied to him right in front of me.I was upset, I don't need to lie about that. I raised my voice. It was well deserved. I wasn't feeling well. I was having problems breathing, I went to set my PLASTIC container down that I had packed my lunch in, (as I had came directly from work), I accidently set it down at an angle, and it rolled (that's what round objects sometimes do) off the counter. The guy tells my dad I'm throwing things and he's going to call the police. He then tells my father that I was offered a ride home 2 hours ago. Um, I wasn't there 2 hours ago, I was with my father! He told me he could "push my car up front" and it would be my problem. I said, "Fine, give me my $800 back and I'll have it taken elsewhere." He walked away when I said that (forgot you already got paid, HUH?!).I was handed the container I was accussed of throwing back by another employee. My dad told me the guy would give me a ride home and bring my car when it was done. I made it clear I was not getting in the car with him and I would walk home (about a mile - no big deal, except I'm upset, I feel sick, and it's hot, but it's better than sitting in a car with that guy!). Oh, and during this whole thing the owner informs me he hasn't eaten either. Um, I wasn't paid $800. I wasn't the one who said the car would be ready at 6pm. That's not my problem and I really don't care.So when was my car ready? A "few minutes" later as promised? I had asked them to call when they were bringing my car home. Before any contact with them I walked home, ate dinner, and watched Big Brother (a show that runs for an HOUR!). I then contacted them asking the status of my car. "Oh they're, just washing their hands, they'll bring it by, I was about to call you and ask for your address." So you don't know my address (even though I gave it to you when I brought the car in) and then she admits, she doesn't have my phone number. I give her both. They end up calling my father saying they need him to come and sign a release (don't call me, it's only MY VEHICLE) and my dad was out with a friend. My car was returned at about 8:30 pm. The guy said, "I'm sorry if I misled you with the time, it wasn't intentional." No, telling me a few more minutes, "6:15pm at the latest" isn't misleading at all. 6:15pm apparently is the same as 8:30pm. If you couldn't guess, I WILL NEVER, EVER be taking my car back to Rio Rancho Imports, and I recommend you don't either.

I have two older cars and Rio Rancho Imports have kept my cars in top notch condition since I started going there 10 years ago. They are very honest people who really care about their customers. I am sure I will never use another shop! Support your local business!

I have been going there for years and they are NEVER over estimate, in fact most of the time they are a few dollars less than their estimate. Randy, Katie, and Eric are awesome. They tell me when I can wait to do something if I don't have the money.

Took my vehicle to be serviced, call to check status, stated was not on the bay yet to determine problem. When I picked it up that evening, the parts were listed, but no hours were listed of how long it took. Did not match with the price charged. Was over charged for total labor. Thought this was a honest business, but found out differently. I have service due on my vehicle now, but will no longer do business with this family owed company. Ask for labor rate upfront and beware.

I have been a customer of Rio Rancho Imports for several years. The entire crew are to notch folks. They know the car repair business and ARE experts in that area. They are also GREAT people who know how a customer wants to be treated. You are not a number or just $$$ to this shop, you are a friend who is always treated with dignity and respect. On several occasions they have told me I could WAIT to complete a repair. If you have ever been to another shop, you know that is not the norm. I would not even consider taking my cars to ANYONE other than Rio Rancho Imports. Randy, Katie, and Eric are awesome!!!!!!!!!

I went to this place expecting to spend a lot of money because I was told by another shop that I needed a lot of work done. Eric told me that I didn't need all of the work done right now and prioritized the work so that I could get it done as needed. It feels good to know that I have a place that I can trust not to take advantage of me because I am female.

Randy has worked on my BMW740il (1998) and my Mercury Cougar (1967). He and Katie have always been honest and reliable. Somtimes it takes longer than expected but I go into the situation expecting that and they keep me informed. Usually the extra time is for Randy to make sure it is fixed to his expectation My cars run great and I know he does to my cars only what he would do to his own. I know many people that use Randy either before me or because of my recomendation and they feel the same way. I know 2 people who work at BMW here in town and both have told me I am in great hands with Randy.

This place rocks. Randy and Katie are very nice. They don't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need. I totally disagree with the post "not tio trust them". My maintainence cost have gone way down since I started going there. I tell everyone to go there.

I have been going to Rio Rancho Imports for years and have been very happy with their service. I have always found them to be fair and honest. I can imagine what happened with the previous customer, but I can't imagine that Randy would not be totally fair.

This is yet another place I would not take my vehicle. I took my car here after getting ripped at previous auto shop I told them I did not want to put another grand into vehicle if it is not fixable. They were very confident in their ability that they could fix it. So unfortunately I gave them a shot , my mistake ,I got screwed again. Took car back at least 5 to 6 times for same problem. After $1,500.00 later my car was still broken and yet I was refunded no money and I was told that "I'm stumped" about your vehicle. But lets try this part for $ 160.00 more "maybe" that will work. Ha! right! Now my car is in yet another shop for a broken water pump which they installed and charged me $500.00 for :( Which never fixed my overheating problem by the way. What a JOKE !!!! I would not trust them.
