In November of 2020, I took my old project truck in (a '93 Nissan D-21 Hardbody with 253k miles) for repair after the rear differential shattered. It had a gear oil leak which lead to a catastrophic failure and loss of a large part of the rear end of the truck.

John (the Owner) was able to locate replacement parts and rebuilt the entire rear end, restoring it back to normal function. It is not an easy task to locate rear end parts for a 27 year old vehicle, but he did and successfully rebuilt the rear differential and rear end components.

John and staff can fix just about anything you bring in and have been an established business here in Rio Rancho for 25 years. They offer a 10% AAA discount up to $50, which helped me save a little bit on this project. If you don't have AAA, they offer free towing with repairs and a courtesy shuttle to pick you up when the work is finished. I also got a two year warranty on parts and labor with this repair project.

It's a busy shop with 12 service bays and the work can be expensive, but all good quality automotive repair work is anyway. Ultimately I would recommend John and Southern Blvd. Automotive because your vehicle will be fixed properly and back on the road.

I took our car in for what looked like a problem with the fuel injector; when they looked at it and thought the same thing, I told them I had already replaced it and asked them to recheck the electrical. Instead of insisting on fixing it and adding an unnecessary repair to our bill (probably easily an extra $400 in their pockets) they listened to me, double and triple checked the wiring, and found the problem after some persistence and maneuvering of the wires (it turned out to be a finicky wire/ECM that only acted up when moved, making it very tricky to diagnose). They called me back within a couple hours to tell me I was right and explained to me what the new plan was to fix it. If that isn't honesty, I dont know what is! These guys listen to their customers and do only what's necessary at a very reasonable price. The staff are friendly, professional, and do a great job at communicating with their clients. They are definitely our go to mechanic from now on!

Good place and convenient location. Our older minivan needed a new left side CV joint, they could have easily told us we needed both sides replaced, and we would have paid. They gave us a fair price, and even a discount price if we chose to replace both, but also suggested that the right side might last quite a bit longer, so we just changed the left. It would have been much more inconvenient and costly to take it to the dealer. I don't trust many service places, but they did a good job, didn't push the sale, and did a good job. They do deserve credit.

Disappointing. They asked me to leave my vehicle there all day "and we'll get to it". By 3:30 they had not touched it and had the audacity to ask if we could leave it overnight. Are you kidding me? When we picked up our vehicle we noted more than 80 sets of keys hanging up for pending repairs. 12 others were marked as completed. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not to mention while there the receptionist answered the phone and told the caller "no problem, just drop it off tomorrow". Seriously?

DO NOT go to this garage!!!!! They are not trustworthy, they treat you like they think you are an idiot. They have very shaddy practices. Was a loyal customer for about 5 years and have had enough. Will never go to them again. Would be very surprised if they are still here next year. DO NOT trust them with your car or money.

If I could rate less than one star, I would. Don't ever go here! Long-time loyal customers do not mean anything to them. Solid referrals and thousands of dollars in business was spent here over years of loyalty and So Blvd Auto pretty much treated me like a dumb woman in front of my son, poor customer service from a "manager", car was still not fixed A WEEK LATER, and charged me for it all PLUS something that they broke while it was in their possession! I'd be embarrassed to refer my clients and will not take anything here EVER AGAIN!

It's not easy to trust anyone these days. If you don't understand shop-talk, it's easy to pay extra for car repairs you don't need. In the last 15 years I've had 8-10 different vehicle serviced regularly at Southern Blvd Automotive and have gotten to know most of the employees there. You will not find a mechanic's shop with more integrity than this one. If you don't need it, they won't recommend it. Southern Blvd Automotive is the real deal when it comes to honest car repairs. (Ignore the review bashing the shop for being a Christian environment, sounds like they are bash Christianity rather than rating the business...no specifics about car repairs they had and they have returned so the work they do is obviously drawing them back.)

The person who comments before is complaining about bad experience and he complains that everytime he goes back this shop has new employees. So if he is not happy with this shop why does he keep going back. I have had good experiences with this place.

This place claims to be a Christian shop, rest assured, that is not the truth!! This place is not truthful. They mis-diagnose things all the time. There are new faces in this business every time I've been there. So if it is a christian business, why can't they keep the same employees? What is wrong with this business?
