I cannot believe how I was tre...

I cannot believe how I was treated by an employee at Moxie Salon. Her name was Angie and she definetely could use some customer service training.I called to make appt. I have a gift certificate that was from previous owner. I understand that it also changed names. But I am assuming you still have some of the clients from Euphoria as long as they have not talked to Angie. Why wasn't some arrangements made for the persons with gift cards? We are people that have money already spent. Why would you turn away customers? Why would you treat them badly/rudely?Some of us are unaware of the changes in the salon. If anything you would welcome us and our already spent money so that we come back. Now I can say bad experiences are far more told than good ones. You definetely dont have my business ever and I will tell people of my experience. Bad, Bad and bad again. People work hard for their money and now we are throwing it in the trash because you won't honor there gifts that were already purchased. It is pretty clear that your business will fail.

Once again, as in the prior post, these individuals are calling our salon asking us to accept gift cards for a business that is not there. We've tried to work with some of these individuals by offering them some sort of discount to help them out, but what else can we do? We have directed all of them to the Better Business Bureau, who investigated these incidents and agrees with us that we shouldn't have to honor gift cards and certificates from this past salon that use to occupy this space. We'd go out of business if that were the case.

Moxie Salon in Bel Air, formerly of Rising Sun

I was in the salon today (May 13, 2010) with a gift certificate for a one-hour facial and one-hour deep tissue massage for a total value of $180. When making the appt approximately 3 weeks ago, I was told it was not necessary to use the certificate in one day and could break it up to use in any manner that I so desired. Upon entering the salon today, I presented by certificate at the front desk and was shown the way to Room #4 for my scheduled service. At the conclusion of a wonderful facial, I tipped my esthetician $16 and proceeded to the front desk to make my appt for the rest of my services, when I was informed that Moxie's was honoring my gift certificate even though it was purchased from the previous shop, Euphoria Salon & Day Spa, and that I would have to use the remainder of the certificate immediately on salon products. I was speechless - but did have enough presence of mind to request my tip back and to designate the same $16 amount be withdrawn from the remaining amt on the certificate for the tip. I was also told the reason I hadn't been told of the change of ownership at the time my appt was made was because ownership had changed since that time. However, a review of your Facebook page indicates that you actually opened for business in March, 2010. Additionally, I called the salon back and requested that I be allowed to get the $64 worth of products that were owed me, which, I admit, I foolishly left without doing. The receptionist checked with the owner, Amanda, and informed me that the gift cert had "already been processed and ripped up," (which, frankly, I find completely dubious). I am very sorry that I ever entered this salon and will look forward to letting all my friends (particularly those who work at Upper Chesapeake across the street) know about this very disappointing experience.

FYI : This feedback was also left on Moxie's website at http://www.moxiesalon.net/client-feedback.html and has been deleted and re-posted

This customer is not being reasonable. The gift certificate she presented was for a business that is no longer there and has nothing to do with our salon!! We are a different business in the same location. She didn't buy this from us or our company. If you take a Circuit City gift card to Best Buy, what do you think they would do? We tried to be nice and help her out by offering her some services and retail products, hoping to do a nice thing and maybe convert her to a customer for our business. She took us up on our offer, but continued to be beligerent. We took her comments down off of our web site because she was spamming us with abusive posts every other day. What else can we do?? No good deed goes unpunished as they say.
