I've never had the opportunity to meet Mr. & Mrs. Hurt personally, but I for one am not impressed with their restaurant operations. I've worked in food service for a long time, but this company has the worst incentives for their employees. The workers are underpaid and overworked. They hire part time keeping their costs low, but give you full time hours in order to meet day to day operations. Once you have physically worked yourself sick, they offer little to no health care provisions and lack additional floor coverage while you take time to heal. Give your managers more labor to cover day to day operations, so your employees can take the necessary time to get well. If the best incentive you have to offer is tuition assistance for your employees to get a better education and get out, then maybe you should rethink your system!
