Riverdale Fire Services, also known as RFS, is governed by the city of Riverdale in Georgia. The agency offers a variety of life safety and fire prevention programs. Founded in 1961, it provides emergency medical response services to a residential population of more than 12,000 people. Riverdale Fire Services has been certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The agency assists to issue licenses and permits for the storage of hazardous materials. Riverdale Fire Services is a member of several organizations, such as the Metro Atlanta Fire Chiefs Association, Georgia State Firefighters Association, and Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
