Provided by YP.comWish I could give them 0 stars because they are useless. Home Depot set up an appointment with them for my refrigerator. Never received a call to confirm, appointment day came and not a call from them. Home Depot tried calling, couldn’t get through. I tried and hung up after 27 minutes. Called Home Depot again and they got through and was told that they scheduled me for the next day. Getting a new company to service my fridge now. So unprofessional and they are liars! Useless company.

Provided by YP.comHome Depot Protection Plan people scheduled me for the repairs on Monday, April 29th. On Friday, April 26th I got a call from Rod's and they reviewed the problem and are ordering the part needed and will get the work done as soon as the parts arrive or next week.
As a wounded, disabled, decorated, veteran living on a fixed income I was happy with their service.
I am quite sure that they will overdeliver and when they do they will be recognized even more.

Provided by YP.comRods TV was sent to my house by a warranty company to repair my dishwasher he never called the warranty company with the estimate even after I called him and he said he would call them the same day he never did I find this person be totally unreliable and I would never recommend that anybody use him

Provided by YP.comThe most unprofessional company I have ever seen. Used them through warranty company and would never use them again. Take my microwave and doesn't give me any type of receipt. Call and always long hold to get someone and most of the time it just goes to voicemail, which they never call back (8 messages this week!!!). Then I take off of work for microwave to be delivered. They never called me to confirm time and then give me a time frame of 2 to 5. It is now 930 at night and still no call or microwave. Never use this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWanted to give zero stars but Yelp needed overall rating. Worst customer service I have experienced. Was referred to by my extended warranty company. Waited two days with no one showing and no one calling... Even after I re verified where we were on the schedule and was given a 30 minute window for arrival when I called before they closed to confirm w a live person at 4 pm for an hour into my three hour window on day two. I called re my refrigerator on Sat of Labor Day weekend and was given a Tues appointment. Now I have to start over with another referral and hope for an appt next week, with two young kids that need to be fed and no fridge for at least another week. When I called them after first no show there wasn't even an apology. Terrible.

Provided by YP.comIf I could give negative stars I would. After my 4 year old fridge broke, Samsung insisted Rod's come out and do a diagnostic. (They are the only company on Long Island Samsung works with). Once I finally got hold of the receptionist, I arranged for a serviceman to come out to my house two days later. Not only did the serviceman never show up, for two days no one has answered the phone at Rod's- just on hold. Samsung is therefore refusing to issue a warrantee since the work is not done by Rod's. My husband, 2 year old and 3 month old I have been without a fridge and freezer for over a week. I have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food and a freezer full of breast milk.

Provided by YP.comThis is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with for any service in any line of work. I am convinced that they are only in business because of contracts with appliance companies. They lied to me about the piece my fridge needed, then 3 weeks later they showed up with the wrong piece!!! Then promised to fix their mistake by overnighting the correct piece, then when I didn't hear from them in over a week, I called and asked what was going on, they said: "Oh that part is on back order from Electrolux (Frigidaire) and they won't be able to get it. I called Frigidaire (who has bad customer service themselves) who stated that the part was in full stock and that they would just mail me the part I got the part and I called Rods and told them I had the part and set up an appointment the next day between 10-1 and the GUY NEVER SHOWED UP! No phone call no nothing. If you're forced to deal with them because of an appliance warranty beg that company to send you a different repair shop

Provided by YP.comI have an extended warranty with Assurant Solutions, purchased at Jay's Appliances. My range oven broke on Thanksgiving Nov 27, 2015. Assurant assigned Rods TV to do the repair. Rods came said the parts will be in 5 to 7 days. No parts now after 90 days. Assurant Solutions said they can't change service provider. Jays tried to order the parts for Rods. Rods gave them the incorrect part numbers 2 times. Rods never responds to any telephone messages. DON'T have anything to do with ASSURANT SOLUTIONS or RODS TV

Provided by YP.comI wish I had seen these reviews. Avanti recommended Rod's to do a repair on my wine chiller to replace a broken fan. They were supposed to come with the part to do the repair. The repairman showed up with no parts, took my $100 check. 6 weeks later, still no repair, they don't return phone calls and I'm out $100. Now the office number is no longer in service. I'm hoping they're out of business for good. A bunch of thieves. I'm giving them one star because you have to give a star to publish the review. They deserve NO stars.

Provided by YP.comI have an extended warranty on a refrigerator and the warranty company only uses Rod's. It took forever to get through to the women who answers the phone who happens to be the owners daughter. Not the friendliest person representing a business. This is after a very professional sounding recorded message and that's where the professionalism ends. The repairman showed up a day after my 1st appointment, looked at the unit said I needed some parts and that it would take 5-7 days. Well 16 days later no parts, no call back and no response to the messages left on the answering machine. I'm not sure if the last 5 star review was a joke or not. or maybe written by an employee. More likely an employee or personal friend of the company. Most of the reviews all say the same thing and that is this company is a waste of time. The warranty company is looking for another company to do business with. So for now unless I unplug the refrigerator to defrost the freezer, the freezer drawer remains frozen shut. Thanks Rod!!

They called,told me what time they will be in my house.. Waited all day .. No show no call... I said I will never do business again.. But last week my dishwasher broked, still under warranty.. Samsung give me their number... And AGAIN!!! Samething..I called to find out what time they will be by me... And ofcourse they cant do before 6.. And I reschedule for next day.. And after waiting all day, they told me driver was there first day in the morning but I wants home.. Bull***t.. I didn't get a call or anything.. Done done done with them.. Don't ever do business

Provided by YP.comThe worst unprofessional, untrustworthy company I've ever dealt with. Have been trying to have my maytag dishwasher repaired for the past month. 1st time they came out diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. 2 weeks later they installed the part and of course still doesn't work. So they ordered the 2nd part waited 2 more weeks. Each time you have to keep calling them to determine if your part is in as they never call you. My 2nd part came in and I have now taken off work 4 times waiting for them to install the 2nd part. Each time they do not show and do not call. I have to call them each time to complain that a tech has not arrived and I get some excuse like forgot to put you on the schedule, tech forgot to take the part on the truck, tech's other appt's ran long had to cancel you etc.... Had enough finally went to their store and picked up my part and called Home Depot to have another company install the part. Never deal with Rod's TV and appliance repair!!!

Provided by YP.comConsidering the rudeness and apathy I dealt with, I wonder if actual customers of Rod's repair wrote some of these reviews.
Try Sears or ANYONE else unless you don't mind an unpleasant, frustrating experience. I am giving one star only because I have to.
