Provided by YP.comIf I could give this business a lower rating I would.
This morning Agent Mike Estrella and his partner showed up a my door, slapped handcuffs on my husband (in our front yard if full view of the neighborhood, and WITHOUT EVEN IDENTIFYING THEMSELVES) and proceeded to push him toward the car, despite my husband telling them he had proof that he had checked in with the bailbondsman.
I heard my husband shouting for me and was able to show them proof that he had checked in.
My main complaint is with the partner of Agent Estrella (who refused to give me his name and told me he didn't have a business card - which was obviously a lie). He was rude, and arrogant, he insisted that my husband hadn't checked in (even while looking at the paperwork in his hand that proved he had).
After making a phone call Agent Estrella told him to take the handcuffs off my husband because there had been a mistake. When taking the handcuffs off, the unnamed Agent whispered in my husband's ear (CREEPY), "You're lucky!" What the Hell!? Telling someone they are lucky after you've handcuffed them in their front yard and refused to listen to them.
When we questioned why the bailbondsman hadn't called to let us know if there was a problem (obviously there was if they sent out these Agents) he (the unnamed partner) insisted they HAD called us (as if he had personal knowledge, although later he admitted he was just going by what was on the computer), even when I repeatedly told him they hadn't and I had caller ID to prove it he insisted they had called (essentially he was calling me a liar).
When my husband complained that they had handcuffed him in front of the neighbors, the unnamed Agent shrugged his shoulders, spread his hand and said, very sarcastically, "What? There's no one out here!" As if the neighbors don't know what is going on just because they aren't standing out on the sidewalk, gawking.
In short, his behavior and strong-arm tactics are extremely unprofessional!!!
I would like to make it clear that I do understand the mistake was the Bailbondman's, and Agent Estrella and his partner were doing what they were hired to do.
My complaint is with the way it was done.
I will say Agent Estrella did apologize, but, when insisted on an apology from his partner, I (eventually) got a very sarcastic, sorry excuse for an apology from him.
Also, Agent Estrella did say that mistakes happened all the time. In that case you would think they would give someone the benefit of the doubt and be more willing to give someone a chance to prove their claims.
If I had not been at home, my husband would have been taken to jail. They would not have let him get the paperwork to prove he had done what he was supposed to do.
