Whatever it is that Dr. Heckman sets her mind to, she does with conviction, a positive outlook and enthusiasm. Heckman ChiropractoraShe received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from California State University at Fullerton and a Master’s degree in nursing from California State University at Long Beach which allowed her to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Heckman went on to finish her education at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic receiving her Doctor of Chiropractor in the late 80’s. She is fortunate to have a deeper understanding of the human body than most chiropractic graduates because of her previous education and experience in the nursing field. Evidence based practices are what Dr. Heckman uses to treat her patients, and she stays up to date on changes to those by constantly continuing her education. Past seminars she has attended include Practical Radiology, Orthopedic Assessment, and Diagnosis and Treatment of Foot and Ankle Problems. Restoring patients to their optimal health as quickly as possible through awareness, exercise, nutrition and chiropractic is her goal for every patient. A firm believer in the “worth” of every individual and the incredible healing power of the body, Dr. Heckman is a true doctor for the people.
