Founded in 1954, Mountain View Elementary School is a year-round Title I school that serves an ethnically and culturally diverse student and community population. It serves more than 950 students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school operates a multitrack program and conducts Head Start and preschool classes. It offers English Language Learners and special education programs. The school organizes various annual events, such as winter holiday programs, young author s day, science camps and monthly award assemblies. Its teachers meet on a weekly basis for collaborative lesson planning and discuss corrective instructional techniques for those students who need additional assistance. Based in Riverside, Calif., Mountain View Elementary School is a part of the Riverside Unified School District.
