I can not speak highly enough of University Pain Consultants, especially Dr. Guiang. I have been to many pain mgmt. doctors over the last 20 years, and Dr. Guiang is a rare gem. He is NOT a pill pusher. He has done everything he can to improve my quality of life. He has fought for me when workers comp put up roadblocks. His staff is professional and I truly feel cared for and appreciated as his patient. He truly wants to help his patients. I have never felt like a number. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Guiang and I HIGHLY recommend him and Dr. Pang for any and all pain mgmt needs. There is not a single negative thing I could say...and I would if there were.

I have been to many pain management doctors in the past as I move around the country for my work. Dr. G (I have no idea how to say his last name) has thus far been the best. I had to wait a month to see him as he sees so many patients but it was definitely worth the wait. He offered me so many choices of how he could treat my pain and left it up to me to decided which pathway I was most comfortable with. I have been with his clinic for a year now and I could not be happier with the care I received. Unfortunately, I am being transferred again for work, this time to the East Coast. I hope I can find a doctor out there that will allow me to select how I want to be treated rather than dictating to me what they think is right for me. Kudos to Dr. G!

Don't get ripped off like I did!

I was referred to this place to have a procedure for back pain. I went in, had an x-Ray taken and was told they would not perform the procedure. They said I needed back surgery, but they asked to take a cheek swab to test to see what pain medication I should be taking. I allowed them to take the swab. I was not told it would cost thousands of dollars and I would get a bill to pay anything for this test. However, I did get a bill. Thankfully my insurance paid most of it and I am only left having to pay $100.00. So now I get to pay for a test which did nothing for me, as I have never received any information about what pain medication I should be taking for my pain. In fact, I have never been contacted since my one and only office visit. This place is the biggest rip off I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with. Stay away from here.
