Riverton Middle School offers classes from grades five through eight. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, reading and writing. The school s guidance and counseling department counsels students in their educational development and also offers individual and group counseling services. The school s library media center is an instructional support center for the students and staff to increase students reading skills to develop their abilities to think and use of technology and books. Its parent teacher-organization supports the school in several ways to increase awareness in curriculum and policy development for development of students through proper communication between home and school. Additionally, it offers sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Riverton Middle School is located in Riverton, Ill.
