My mother wanted to go to Baker's Square but I pushed for something more interesting on a very cold night, and she suggested the India Curry House. She had been once before. Not many customers on a Saturday night at South Broadway. We are both vegetarians so we got eggplant (medium spicy) and the saag paneer (medium spicy) and garlic nan. I was not impressed with my chai, perhaps because I make the best Chai ever, but it really was not good. The food was outstanding. Saag paneer rich and delicious, pretty mild. The eggplant Bartha had bits of ginger that gave some added heat. We ate about half and took the rest home in aluminum boxes (bravo, no styrofoam!) and enjoyed it for lunch the following day. We didn't try anything from the bar. The dinner was just what the doctor ordered for my sore throat. I live on the east coast, but if I lived here I'd be a regular for take out or going out with friends. I dislike buffet service, so I would not go during the buffet times.
