My husband and I had picked out a living room set at Raymour and Flanigan and felt that we needed to price out all the other stores before we officially made our purchase. We came here on 11/30 and worked with Jon and the manager. We found a similar set, but it was twice the price. I was ready to walk out but after them taking the time to explain the difference in quality and customer service that they could offer over Raymour we felt it would be a better decision to buy from Ashley. We went ahead with the purchase and were told 2-4 weeks for delivery. I was completely bummed because I always hold off on purchases until we are 100% able so I was hoping to get it much sooner, especially since Raymour said it'd only be 3 days. Still, we were convinced it was worth the compromise. The following day I received a call that the earliest delivery date would be Jan 13th (44 days later). I was very upset to say the least and the woman decided to offer a $75 cash compensation or $150 store credit, which by the way buys you nothing. Did she really think $75 was going to make me feel better after making a $5,000 purchase? In fact, it only infuriated me more since deliver was $200 alone! It was a complete slap in the face after we had the pep talk from the employees at the store the day prior that their customer service was the best. Now, 2 days later and numerous wasted phone calls, the have increased the compensation to $200 cash which again, is nothing in comparison to the half the price set at Raymour. Let me not forget to mention that the initial phone call came in more than 24 hours post purchase so I couldn't cancel without paying a 12% cancellation fee. I didn't think to question the salesman about delivery because who would think it should EVER take longer than 4 weeks. I'm angry that I've wasted so much money and time. I haven't even gotten the furniture and I'm already appalled with the customer service. I'm dreading the next 5 years worth of coverage and having to communicate with this company (yes, I was convinced to buy the added protection plan). Never, never again will I step foot in an Ashley Furniture.

I shopped allover and decided to buy my mattress as Ashley, based upon the comfort level of the mattress that I chose in their showroom. The salesman was very friendly and made my family feel at ease with making a large purchase of a king sized, expensive mattress. When the mattress was delivered, we noticed immediately that the mattress was NOT the same as the one that was tested in the showroom. The one that was delivered to me was so much harder, to the point that we could not sleep on the bed. I have been in agony with back pain, worse than I have ever felt in my life. I called customer service several times and was told that I needed to break in the mattress and that it would take time to feel better. I said that was never disclosed to me and that I am 5 months pregnant. I purchased a new mattress because I liked how the one in the showroom felt and the mattress in my bedroom felt nothing like the sample in the showroom. Had I known that I was supposed to break in a mattress for a minimum of several months before it was comfortable I would have kept my old mattress! I was told that I should have known better, that all mattresses need to be broken in and that it was common sense. I was told that I did not buy a comfort guarantee and when I tried to explain that it was not a comfort issue, that it was an issue of not getting the bed that I tried at the store and it was a disclosure issue, I was ignored. They also told me that the mattress in the showroom was likely over a year old and that hundreds to thousands of people had broken in that bed. Why was this never disclosed? I asked this and the woman in customer service told me that if they put those thing into the contract that it would be pages and pages long. I called the salesman back in the store who to my face was so friendly and even on the phone said he would do everything he could to help me. He never called back, although he promised he would. I have been ignored and treated like garbage when I gave my money and trust in a store that could care less about customer service and follow through. I will never shop in this store again and recommend that others take my advice and do the same thing.

Very Nice Furniture

I went to Ashley on Saturday and I was very surprised at what I saw. First off, the employees do not pounce on you like other furniture stores, and they were very knowledgeable. Also they dont knock the competition, they just explain why they would recommend their product over 'other retailers'. I bought a really nice microfiber couch and loveseat, and I also bought the two end tables and coffee table, which was a 5 piece package for only 1300$ and I did it with financing of course. I have to pay like 20 bucks a month with no interest til 2013! Thats really an incredible deal. I also noticed that they have a lot of nice accessories there too, like artwork and cool designer pillows, etc. I have a friends wedding coming up so I will be sure to go there for a wedding present! It was just a very pleasant experience. They let you shop yourself and they aren't pushy. I would definately recommend them to anyone! They have good quality through top of the line quality stuff so really they fit anyones needs.2 thumbs up!
