In 1972, Antonio Martella opened the first Captain Tony's Pizza & Pasta Emporium in the fine state of New York. The entire family pitched in and helped, including his young son Michael. Grown up and away at college, Michael found that old adage to be true that you just can't beat home cooking, dad's pizza that is. In all of his travels at that time, sampling a variety of pizzas in several states across the country, he was not able to find a pizza that rivaled his own father's. The pizza crust was not New York thin crust as I ordered, instead it was rubbery and tasted like cardboard. Toppings were incredibly stingy, pastas overcooked. They also forgot the dessert and the delivery guy was incredibly rude about it and said "What do you want me to do about it?" This was after waiting an hour and 45 minutes for something they told me was going to take 45 minutes (admittedly it was snowing somewhat but then revise your estimates and they are less than 10 minutes from my house). And then, do they offer to come back with the brownies? Or refund some of the money from that order? Why no ! They want to give me a free pizza for next time. Why would I ever want to order from there again? Horrible-worst experience I've had, and that includes my tastebuds! I'm betting the review below was a plant.
