Provided by YP.comIt is rare that you find such a skilled, passionate, dedicated, loving, and sensitive professional in the field of mental health. Despite years of distrust in most of my relationships, within minutes I felt that he was trust worthy and cared not just during the session but beyond the working day if needed. Dale's knowledge & skill in many different approaches comes together to gently guide you where there is the greatest need. If you're going to work with Dale, it will not be a bandaid approach but rather insights that go beyond the surface, "if you're willing", to discover what you desire the most. In addition to his knowledge of counseling approaches, Dale skillfully uses music and on line heartwork retreats so that you're journey can continue beyond the counseling session if you choose. I believe that most people who choose to work with Dale say that "they have been changed" for the better."

I am not the church going sort but when I think of Dale and the great work that he is called to do the 23rd psalm of David comes to mind. Four months ago I walked into his office feeling hopeless and angry. My life was crumbling and I was in emotional and spiritual crisis. He wasted no time in providing me the support and direction that I needed. Dale's presence and intelligence made an immediate impression and I was motivated to do the work that was needed to reclaim my creative spirit and move forward. He has a unique and heart-centered approach that is empowering and integrated. It isn't that you need to fix anything but rather embrace the reality of your life and your true self. There is a medial quality to our sessions. Dale seems to be an expert at crossing from the practical and concrete into the soulful and essential. I know that there is more work to be done and I am looking forward to continuing on this path.. I am grateful that someone loved me enough to find and send me to Dale. He is truly a wonderful counselor!

Provided by YP.comDale is the most effective Counselor I have come across. He is extremely compassionate, and it is obvious this compassion comes from a real place inside him; it is not feigned or "put on" in the least. He has a genuine love and empathy for other human beings, and their various circumstances. I find when Dale listens to me, he is extremely present, as if his whole self is being fully present. This type of presence is naturally healing in itself, and actually assists in me finding my own answers within. He has done decades of extensive training and 'spiritual work' which makes him a vital conduit in sharing this with others. Dale addresses the 'whole person' - not just the mental/psychological aspect. He also is skilled in helping you to find your own deeper inner connection, in whatever way you relate to that. I get the sense he is the type of person that is always growing and evolving -- which is an excellent model for our own growth and development.

Provided by YP.comMy Dr. referred me to Dale to help me with depression and anxiety. I immediately felt that Dale cared about me and I believed he would help me.
I have been seeing him for awhile and I have not experienced severe clinical depression for a few years now. I do still have bouts of depression from time to time and am able to recognize what is happening and why it is happening so that I can be proactive and take care of myself which keeps the depression from taking hold. I also have had no major panic episodes in years.
I have chosen to continue seeing Dale for his wisdom and guidance in helping me heal relationships that have been painful for me. He is gentle and caring which really helps make it safe to admit my mistakes and then take responsibility for what I need to understand about myself. I am pleased to say that I am now able to relate to people in a much more purposeful way without attaching my pain and anger to them as much as I used to. I do have more grief work to do in this area and I feel confident that with Dale's gentle nudging I will be able to grow into the wonderful person I know I can be. I am grateful to Dale and I highly recommend him.

Provided by YP.comEighteen months after I started my Heartwork journey, I feel a simple pleasure in being alive. I feel a profound sense of contentment that I never knew was possible.
People who have known me for years notice the change within me. Be it when I am alone or when I am with others, I am more present and engaged. I am more relaxed and yet more passionate in my work. I am more proactive and less reactive in all endeavors -- more enthusiastic and ready to play. Old friends – music and nature – impact me with an intensity that I had lost. I am more creative with old hobbies (such as photography) even as I embrace new pursuits (such as singing, learning Latin dance and how to play the recorder). I have experienced a transformation of perspective and experience. I now see, experience and live life more fully. No longer needing to run or escape, my adventures have a different feel to them. Having made huge strides toward knowing and loving myself, I am far less fearful of knowing and loving others. Having learned to trust myself, I am more fully capable of trusting and embracing others. I am now able to see them for who they are – not just for whom I wish or needed them to be. My relationship with my wife has been transformed -- we are closer and happier now than at any time in our marriage. I now know that there is no need to fear anything … that everything is good.
How does Dale do what he does? By living congruently with what he teaches. By fully living unconditional acceptance. By creating profound safety and being fully present. By trusting his clients … which in turn encourages his client to trust themselves. By encouraging his clients to bypass intellectual rationalizations and defenses and focus instead on the emotional and spiritual core and truth. By letting his clients take responsibility for what will happen or not happen. By being fearless, real and genuine, he serves as a beacon for all who seek to evolve to a similar place of enlightenment.
I feel privileged and blessed to know Dale and have him guide me on my journey.

Provided by Doctor.comWhen I first met with Dale, I was very depressed, I had no self-worth and I felt alone and unwanted. Today I am at peace with myself, I feel love and I can give it. I have a brighter outlook on life and I wake up looking forward to what experiences life has for me daily.

Provided by YP.comI once read “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.” I knew I needed to get unstuck and called “blindly” from a list in the phone book. Dale answered. Lesson one: the heart’s true yearning attracts the perfect response. There is peace and comfort in his office. A room with a view of trees and scurrying squirrels, and of sunlight coming through a window. And then there is Dale, ever present, and with a soft, healing voice. - Jeanne Yamonaco

Provided by YP.comThe Personal Intensives I have had with Dale are some of the most significant and memorable experiences of my life. The Intensive gave me a unique opportunity to really slow down and experience myself without the usual time and physical limitations. Physically, one is able to move between 2 very comfortable spaces – Dale’s office and the dark, quiet, isolation room. This arrangement gives the client tremendous flexibility to find the location that feels right at any given time. The Intensives had no pre-planned agenda. The minutes and hours unfold in an organic way as Dale and I sensed our way to experiences of great depth, feeling and meaning. Dale’s deeply focused attention, guidance, gentleness, empathy, and rich life and inner-work experience consistently help to clarify and deepen the emotional openings that occur. As a direct result of the Intensives I have directly and viscerally learned (among many other things), to have more patience with myself, to feel my way inside myself and to wait for things to emerge when they are ready, to be much gentler and generous to myself and with others. - Kenneth Leeds

Provided by YP.comI lost my father in a tragic airplane accident. He was my mentor, my counselor, the person I always trusted for guidance, someone I could always count on no matter what. Now he was gone and I didn’t know how to deal with the pain, the suffering and loss I felt. I traveled from Houston to New York for an intensive with Dale Goldstein. Grieving and apprehensive, I wanted someone or something to help me get at the pain, to help me open up and let go of the suffering I felt. Dale was that some one. He possesses a special gift of understanding coupled with a deep compassion for those he works with. Not only does he feel one’s pain but has the unique ability to get one to “let go” and open up to their suffering inside. Heartwork and Dale Goldstein changed my life and gave me everyday tools to deal with my inner self. I’m grateful for the understanding and experience. - Mitch Creekmore | Houston, Texas
