Customer service blows. I'm leaving this credit union soon. The customer service is horrible... ESPECIALLY At Greece Branch. Lines are always long and rude tellers
I left Bank of America and Citizens for this?!?!?!?!? ESL now ranks as 1a on my worse banks list with Citizens... Yes, BOA is 1...

Just paid off a car loan with them, 6 months early. My monthly payment was $331.21 and as of the date it was to be debited from my checking account I owed 165.87 BUT they still took out $331.21 which affected my account balance and I was charged an overdraft fee by my bank. When I called I was told it is impossible for them to take less than the minimum payment from my account. What?! They debited my account for MORE than what was due and had no way to reverse it. To top it off they refused to pay the overdraft fee as it is not a bank error but my own. They said I am welcome to go into the branch to receive the funds from my overpayment to deposit into my checking account. Not terribly convenient considering I work full-time and their branch closes at 4pm. Not only that but when you want to adjust your ACH amount for payment (increase) you have to GO INTO THE BANK. With modern technology as it is, how is it that this needs to be done in person? I canceled a pending loan with them and asked that they close any and all accounts under my name and I will bring my business elsewhere. It won't hurt them of course as I am not some large business and my banking needs are small but at least I can warn other small fish to steer clear. I use CNB and Genesee FCU for my personal checking and savings currently and they are awesome. They work with you and their hours are convenient. I will never bank with ESL again.

It about making money and goals now. My niece was in tears because she was forced to make goals and take advantage of folks while working here. She finally was fired because she had a heart. NOT A WAY TO RUN A NON PROFIT CREDIT UNION. I have since closed my accounts. Greed rules here now. THE EASTMAN SAVINGS AND LOAN that I loved has been destroyed like Kodak.

Abusing the disabled for sales goals! Custoemr of 17 years here; I haven't been a fan of the direction this credit union has been headed for a while, but this was the straw that broke the camels back. They tricked my disabled son into a credit card!! He went in to cash a check and came out with a credit card. He was told he needed a credit card. I have seen their seasoned, amazingly intelligent staff slowly replaced with sleaze ball salespeople, formerly from the aisles of your local cell phone stores and retail outlets. I have moved my accounts to Canandaigua Bank. ESL is a big bank trying to make money off anyone they can find. Even the disabled. How sick and sad this credit union has become.

The person at the drive up window this morning was awful! The girl couldn't figure out basic math and said my transactions were confusing to her and next time I should come inside..... All three of my transactions were in perfect order and everything was filled out, so the fact that more than one transaction confused her tells me she's in the wrong line of work. What kind of help is ESL hiring? Service has really gone down in the last few years.

Dave Feidler gives $100,000 to the Food Bank and $500,000 to the United way, Sponsors Rochester Press-Radio Club Day of Champions Dinner and Corn Hill Arts Festival but I am out of work and get nothing but the crap from ESL's Collection department. Like wild attack animals. No mercy for me. No free hand outs for me. Dave help you members first and run your Credit Union. This is why ESL has become a horrible credit union. You suck ESL.

Dave the CEO is so busy giving credit union money away to build his ego and place in Rochester society that his bank is comming apart. Dave how about running your bank and stop with the vanity trip you are on. You have just about destroyed your credit union and the thousands that you have fired or walked out the door. Do you feel great about all the folks you have put in the street and used? Its now an awful place to work or bank. Also forcing employees to take advantage of the sick and elderly to make goals and keep their job is wrong. Especially while you pass out credit union money all over town that was acquired by dishonest means. Do you have a conscience? Do you care?

Canandaigua Bank has Sunday Ho...

Canandaigua Bank has Sunday Hours and they have great service. ESL is second class in service. Its was once a great place to bank but they are now so big they are like a big bank. They have gone they way of Kodak. I suspect its the same leadership that destroyed Kodak. Even Summit has much better service. I do not like lines and screw ups. Thats what you get at ESL.
