Dr. Jeremiah Depta is the Director of the Advanced Valvular and Structural Heart Disease Program at the Rochester Regional Health Sands-Constellation Heart Institute. A graduate of Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Depta completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at Washington University in St Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. He completed fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and Structural, Valvular, and Peripheral Vascular Intervention at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He joined the staff at Sands-Constellation Heart Institute/Rochester General Hospital in 2015 and is the Director of the Advanced Valvular and Structural Heart Disease Program. In 2013, Dr. Depta earned a Master’s Degree in Population Health Sciences concentrating on clinical epidemiology, clinical trials and outcomes research from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He has authored numerous book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals and is currently involved in multiple clinical trials in interventional cardiology and valvular/structural heart disease. Dr. Depta is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a member and fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Depta specializes in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of valvular and structural heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR), left atrial appendage occlusion (e.g., WATCHMAN), transcatheter therapies for tricuspid and pulmonic valve disease, balloon valvuloplasty, management of failing bioprosthetic valves, alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, catheter-based treatment for pulmonary vein stenosis and catheter-based closure of prosthetic valve leaks, atrial and ventricular septal defects (e.g., patent foramen ovale) and patent ductus arteriosus. He is a leader in the field of structural heart disease and serves a proctor for TAVR instructing physicians across the U.S.
