A true mom & pop operation, Tom and Barb Green grew the business into a landmark in their native Rochester, NY. The store is now run by Tom Jr. and his wife Sara and is well known for it's excellent employees, the C.R.E.W. (Courteous, Responsible, Enthusiastic, Workers). A super store on a city block, Mayers has everything you need to get the job done and save you a trip to the dreaded big box stores. Mayers has stayed open in the era of big box Hardware stores with great service, in-depth knowledge, reasonable prices and genuine friendliness to customers, and general support to the neighborhood. I can't empathize too much how much I like having such a high-quality neighborhood store. Oh, and they keep it clean and well-lit.
