Mooney-Keehley was organized in 1930 by Mr. John O. Mooney and operated under the Mooney name until 1944. John O. Mooney quickly gained recognition as a premier engraver offering innovative, quality products at affordable prices. In 1944, Mr. Elihu Hedges and Mr. Frank Keehley purchased the business. The new owners continued to produce their specialized brand of engraving and printing keyed to funeral directors. In 1970, the estate of Mr. Hedges bought out Mr. Keehley's interest and became sole owner of the company. Mr. Hedges' children: David Hedges, Brud Hedges and Judith Gessner ran the company and continued the tradition of innovative, quality products established by John O. Mooney. By this time the reputation of Mooney-Keehley had grown to give the company a national presence.Today, Mooney-Keehley serves a national account base and continues to manufacture the innovative, high quality products that John O. Mooney was known for. Mooney-Keehley operates two automatic engravers, one hand-fed engraver, three letterpress machines and two offset presses. The facility is headquartered in Rochester, New York.
