Rochester City School District provides educational programs to more than 34,000 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. It also offers continuing education programs to over 11,000 adults. The district operates nearly 50 elementary and secondary schools. It has more than 5,300 employees, including teachers, administrators and support personnel. The district s secondary schools offer courses in health, business, finance, media, computer applications, law and engineering. Its elementary schools provide a range of recreation and social skill-building activities. The district s student body includes children from more than 25 foreign countries. Located in Rochester, N.Y., the district also organizes workshops for parents.
