stayed here many times since 1985, our last stay was October 2010. yes it is cozy, clean and has a great beach location, however the current owner/mgr Mike is very rude, unfriendly and not a people person for such a small tourist funded town. the increased off-season price is too expensive for this type of Motel which is low on amenities and has very outdated accommodations. at a lower price this Motel was ok, but definitely not worth the inflated cost especially with rude service and in October when not many shops/restaurants are open in this town! there are upscale beach 'Hotels' for less $$ maybe not in Rockaway but Seaside, Lincoln City and other charming coastal cities :) when i told Mike this via email, he canceled my reservation for October 2011. nice way to treat the guests? Silver Sands doesnt want my $$, my opinion nor do they want me to spend any time in Rockaway Beach.. lol. Do yourself a favor and skip Silver Sands, you can get a better room for less money elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our stay and will tell everyone how wonderful your quaint little place is.Clean Clean Clean and so accommidating. We have found a new place to put on our favorites list!Thank You.

We reserve rooms here for friends and family when they come visit us at our beach place because the rooms are clean and the service is very good.

They provide us with wonderful service. Excellent clean rooms and wonderful views of ocean. Support staff worked well with coordinating the rooms for our event. They very effiecent and friendly with their great sense of humor.
