The salesperson was so knowledgeable and knew the right questions to ask to make sure that my new refrigerator fit. The delivery crew was awesome and very professional as well. Also, they are a local business which I will always try to support over the big box stores. I will always buy everything from Al Grace

Provided by YP.comI have been a customer of Al Grace for as long as I have lived in Rockford and will not shop there again. We bought a Samsung TV there and turns out we found out it was a old outdated model that was over 2 years old. The person that sold us the set didnt tell us this we had to find it out from the service company that fixed it. After I did some looking into it I also fould out from a sales person at HHgregg that I could have bought a current modle for less than I paid from Al Grace. I want to always buy local but will look for other options next time.

Provided by YP.comThe customer service at this place has really gone to heck and back. I have been buying from this place for over 10 years now. Recently bought a refrigerator. Which carried a warranty. Freezer would not freeze. The company sent me a loaner and then forgot about me. I received no call or updates on my fridge. I played phone tag with the repair department. No one was ever in so they say. So I got fed up and wanted my money back. Now I am still waiting on a refund. Plus they had to check to make sure I could receive my money back. Buyers beware if your looking for good quality and customer service wrong place to shop at!!!

Provided by YP.comWe bought a Whirl Pool Gold side by side Refrigerator 1 year ago. This was supposed to be one of the top refrigerators Whirl Pool offers. We got the 10 year warranty on the components as well. We were told that this warranty covers all the components to include the motors and compressor. Well now 1 year later the motor for the ice dispenser has stopped working. When I called and spoke with the service manager and she stated that the warranty DOES NOT cover this motor and that it ONLY COVERS THE COMPRESSOR and MAJOR COMPONENTS. She also stated that it was going to cost around $280.00 or more to get this fixed and their was nothing she could do about it. The service man stated that it sounds like the motor is either FROZEN or BAD. After talking to her for a few minutes she said that she would talk to the store manager and see what he says and someone would call us back later that day because he was in a meeting. No one bothered to call us back (GO FIGURE) so the next day I called her back only to find that nothing has changed. It bothers me that their sales staff STEER people into getting these EXTENDED WARRANTIES under FALSE INFORMATION. They LEAD you to Believe that all the COMPONENTS and MOTORS are COVERED when in FACT THEY ARE NOT and after 1 year there is CLEARLY a DEFECT in the produce. We have bought from this place for years and RECOMMENDED them to all our friends and family. We told everyone how great their service department is and if they ever had a problem they were there to fix it. Now we would not recommend AL Grace to anyone. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL and WILL SAY ANYTHING to get you to buy THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.

COMPONENT WARRANTY IS RARELY SOLD TO CUSTOMERS AND ARE GIVEN AS CONTINUED FAITH AFTER A SERVICE CALL AND/OR PIECE OF MIND AT NO COST TO YOU ON THE MAJOR COMPONENT OF THE 'APPLIANCE' PURCHASED. (USUALLY THE MOST EXPENSIVE PIECE TO REPLACE) AL GRACE APPLIANCE HAS BEEN SELLING/OFFERING THESE 10 YEAR WTY'S FOR MANY YEARS AND GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS A COPY OF WHAT IS COVERED UNDER SUCH WARRANTIES. IT CLEARLY STATES 'MAJOR COMPONENT' ONLY COVERED ON THIS WARRANTY COPY. AN ADDITIONAL WARRANTY WAS MOST LIKELY OFFERED AT P.O.S. AS WELL, COVERING 5 YEARS ON APPLIANCE WHICH COVERS THE LABOR, SERVICE CALL, AND PART THAT IS SERVICED/REPLACED ON APPLIANCE PURCHASED AND COSTS MORE THAN THE 10 YR. WTY SINCE LABOR/SERVICE IS COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. MOST PEOPLE PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY BECAUSE IT DOES COVER THE SERVICE CALL/LABOR/AND PART INVOLVED. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THERE WAS POSSIBLY A MISCOMMUNICATION OR MISUNDERSTANDING OF WARRANTIES OFFERED BY AL GRACE AT TIME OF SALE ON YOUR REFRIGERATOR. WE OFFER BOTH WARRANTIES TO CUSTOMERS AT POINT OF SALE AND EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING THEM - ESPECIALLY SINCE THE MANUFACTURER HAS 'SHRUNK' THEIR OWN WARRANTIES. IT IS UP TO THE CUSTOMER TO DECLINE THE EXTENDED WARRANTIES. THEY ARE NOT FORCED UPON CUSTOMER. FOR ALMOST 50 YEARS, AL GRACE HAS TAKEN GREAT PRIDE IN HIRING AND RETAINING SALESPEOPLE WITHIN OUR BUSINESS.
