Berean Baptist Christian Schools, founded in 1977 and based in Rockford, Ill., is a ministry of Berean Baptist Church. Its elementary, middle and high schools offer a range of subjects, including Bible, penmanship, health, computer, history, science and mathematics. The school is a member of the Illinois Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. Before and after school extended care is offered for working parents of children in first- and second-grade. Day Care is provided for preschool children from ages 3-to-5, offering a hot lunch program followed by play and nap time. BBCS also offers a summer fun program for children up to the sixth-grade. A variety of sporting activities are also offered at Berean Baptist Christian Schools, such as basketball, volleyball, soccer and baseball.
