James Lea Clockmaker
62 Pascal Ave, Rockport, ME 04856
When I was first married in 1959, I bought an old Tambour clock at an auction for five dollars. I took it home and took it apart on the kitchen table, cleaned it as best I could without the proper equipment, put it back together. it ran and I was hooked. Since then I have repaired hundreds of clocks of all types and in the process have learned a great deal. In nineteen eight-five I turned professional and had the good fortune to meet a wonderful man who is a master clockmaker and who has spent his entire life in a clock repair shop. He took me under his tutelage and in the intervening years I have learned a great deal about the science of clock repair. I love what I do and look forward every morning to getting out to the shop. Every day is a new problem and a new challenge and for me it never gets old.
