Rockport title was holding $10,000 my ernest money that secured the purchase price of a lot in the Islands of Rockport, a develpment adjacent to Estes Flats. Since the construction project was delayed approximately two years, I decided not to embark on the project. On the 14th of December, I filled out and filed the necessary paperwork to have the seller sign off on the contract which was done according to the realtor and the paperwork resubmitted to this title company. Contacting the title company, they have no record of that paperwork having been received in their office. I have made numerous calls to the office without success, only promises. My attempt to contact them all day the 15th of January was totally unsuccessful. The woman who is supposedly handling the refund is currently out of the office and the general mood of the remaining office is one of "who cares"! It now is 2 days short of a month since the paperwork has been submitted by me. Part of the delay was the realtor office but the general attitude of the Title company is appalling and they have not been helpful at all in getting my refund back to me on a timely basis.
