Customer service discriminated against EBT cash withdraw users even though Department of Health and Human Services tell EBT users that any local Walmart or HEB will give cash back if they have enough cash in register. This particular Walmart is notorious for discriminating against EBT users. Was using auto checkout and when asked for cash back, clicked yes, typed in our total amount and the attendant Mrs. Cindy Head who is also employed at Rockport Fulton High School http://www.acisd.org/default.cfm?p=profile&profileid=966 said that Walmart was not a bank. We called the managers office but was connected with a Sandy who with not apology, justified the remarks of Mrs. Cindy Head. Poor, lower income individuals deserve to be treated with respect even if you do not agree with their temporary financial situation and hardships. If using EBT for purchases of food or cash withdraws, HEB is 100% better option. Respectable, clean and professional service with more than one line open. If elderly and ill, HEB is the best store for timely checkout.
