Located in Rockton, Ill., Goldie B. Floberg Center provides ambulatory and nonambulatory services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1918, the center employs more than 150 members and serves over 30 counties in north Illinois. It is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for Community Housing Services and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. The center provides a variety of services, including case management; psychological, educational, individual and group counseling; and medical service planning, coordination and supervision. It offers 24-hour nursing services and provides adaptive equipment evaluation, acquisition, training and maintenance facilities. The center s services also include physical therapy, recreational programs, community living skills training, behavioral intervention, transportation, dietary management and employment programs.
