HORRIBLE!! My husband and I have been going to El Mariachi's for almost 20 years. It used to be fun and filled with music. Now its filled with bitchy young people who all have terrible attitudes and could severely use a lesson in humility. We went to dinner on a Saturday, with a $50 gift card and thank God because I would have disputed half of the charges on the bill. Waitress REFUSED to write down our order and then when it didnt come out right.....instead of FIXING it, she argued with us. We will NEVER go back and we will tell everyone we know...NOT to go either. Booooo Mariachi's.....shame on you. You went commericial.

How sad. My husband, 18 year old son and I were looking forward to 'authentic' Mexican food for dinner. But we found that nothing in this restaurant was authentic. The food was cold. The sangria tasted more like watered down plum juice. The waiter (apparently they only have one) did not know the menu, how it was prepared or what types of fish or meats they use for each dish. My son waited 15 minutes for a wedge of lemon for his water. He had to ask twice. Once to the waiter and once again to the busboy. Apparently they have a some sort of memory loss when a customer asks for service. My food was over cooked and dry. My husbands food was bland with no flavor. Apparently they don't cook with seasoning either. However, my son enjoyed his water. They also have the nerve to ask for tips in cash. Who does that? Never again. We rather take the long trip to Tequila Sunrise in Bayside, Queens for Mexican food. They at least play music. This place was dark and horribly out of date.
