If you like bad food poor service and a nasty attitude this is the place for you. Having a party of 7 is nothing to thumb your nose at, however, Franks personnel mustnt need to ever have repeat customers. The waitress came to our table right away (only three dinning groups in the whole room) and quickly wanted our order. I did not even have a menu yet. We asked for a little time. After a long wait, no drinks, no bread - I walked over to her. As she continued to flirt with the host , (ignoring me) I told her we were ready to order. She reluctantly came over. The 2 for special was ordered by the other parties of my group. Me, being the odd person out, ordered the full price filet mignon. After another inordinately long time, our food was served. The special items looked to be pretty good so I was hoping for the best. We then had to ask for another round of drinks. When I received my meal, I was given a very small less than 6 oz end cut of the filet. I returned it for the appropriate cut. The host quickly came over with a raw piece of filet, the end cut again and shoved it in my face and said " this would be the next cut you would get. It looks the same.. they are all the same, now .. do you want me to return your other meal - I do not want to waste another piece of meat?). (Catherine Zeta Jones he is not) I declined the meal all together and finished my salad. Upon leaving I spoke to the host who promptly exclaimed in a heated fashion that he had to be honest - that is what I would have gotten anyway. And that our (my) thoughts on the food, service or conversation at this time is of no consequence. All of his customers are treated the same, without a problem - EVER!! . (Peter Luger he is not) !! This was the worst experience of my dinning years !!! Being from Manhattan... I am used to a little rude attendance, but never coupled with poor service, poor food, poor overall nasty attitude and out right neglect for your customers. I say... There are too many wonderful restaurants on LI or make your own steak rather than waste your hard earned money, your time and a night out on FRANKS STEAK cafeteria. no joint
