My wife and I are gourmet eaters. Our hobby is to travel around and find gourmet foods. We read some good reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try.



We ordered three dishes. After trying a small bite on each dish, we decided not to continue the meal. The dishes are not presented well; no aroma, and tasteless. They don't even have the very basic concept of cooking. The quality of their food is worse than Chinese buffet.



We decided to pack the dishes home and re-cook them with proper seasoning. That night both of us had diarrhea. My daughter tried some of the food we brought home and she had diarrhea as well. My son didn't touch their food and he was OK.



The food we got in that "Mama's Wok" (@ 595 Hungerford Dr., Rockville) was probably the worst Chinese food we have had in years. We did see some good reviews on internet about their food and we wonder what had happened. By the way, we were there during non-dining hours (around 4 pm), may be the chef was not there???!!! Who cooked our food then???!!!



No matter who cooked the food, three people got diarrhea from it. They really need to pay attention to the food safety. If they don't know how to cook good food that's fine. However, poisoning people is unforgivable. Therefore, I have to leave a feedback about it.



p.s. I believe it's the beef noodle soup made us sick. The soup taste weird and the meat tasted "funny"... may be they forgot to put the whole pot of beef stew in the refrigerator and too cheap to throw it away?! Luckily, it didn't taste good and we threw away most of it.
