Independent Quality Labs is located in Rockville, R.I. The company was incorporated in 1985 to provide the manufacturing community with technology for measurement of machine tool accuracy. Independent Quality Labs has evolved into one of the world s first corporations to deliver fully integrated machine-tool accuracy measurement systems and services. The company s calibration systems are not limited to hardware or software. Instruments are selected from a range of devices from a variety of manufacturers, such as Renishaw, Mahr Federal and Lion Precision. The instruments are integrated using LOCUS software, which allows the development of structured and reproducible methods of organizing the locations, machines, tests and instruments. The resulting documentation is compiled into a report using text, digital photographs and spreadsheets embedded in the LOCUS software. More detailed reports include setup procedures, comments and recommendations as part of the package.
