Appallingly bad food/experience/service. Will never return. Waitress slapped food down in front of my son and me and came back to get paid. She neither asked about the atrocious special I ordered nor about my son's cold food. My son's dish was the better of the 2 so we shared since we could not even catch the waitress' eye. She came back with the bill and could clearly see I had eaten almost none of my entree. I asked for it to come off the bill. She said she would ask the manager. I would have accepted another entree, however, I had no opportunity to even ask! The entree was removed ultimately. I tipped her 20% of the original bill and have proceeded to tell everyone I know how ghastly Saybrook Fish House's food tastes. Ahoy, mateys

Great time here last weekend. Everything was above expectations. Food, portions, service all top notch from this very friendly restaurant. Only minor complaint would be bar was not very welcoming, seem to cater more to the regulars.

Nice little restaurant with fresh seafood. It was more popular when if first opened and now I tend to forget it is there. I'll have to check it out again soon.

If you like seafood, that is not necessarily fried, this is the place. The seafood is fresh, not mass produced. The salad they bring to teh table is avoe and beyond the normal "house salad" and the basket of fruit at the end of the meal ia a nice touch. A great place for an intamate dinner

Fresh seafood & large portions for the cost. Not to mention the fruit dessert! Prefer to go here over any other local seafood place.
