Stayed there on a Sarturday and Sunday night for deer season. Owner let us know that he had just opening back up that wing for the heat. Its a radiator heating system but gave us a space heater to take the chill off until it caught up more. It did catch up fairly quickly. The wifi went down a couple of times but the owner was quick to restart the router.

The room was big enough for 2 beds, a chair and a desk with a 'wide screen tv'. The motels in Rogers City are quite old, and so was the large tv. But it worked fine and the chair was comfy. One thing that would have been nice is a small fridge and microwave in the room along with an alarm clock.

The sidwalk out front of the rooms was rather scary. There is a large set of cracks where the sidewalk has dropped about an inch or more. Not the safest thing but its fixable.

The owner left us a plate of ACTUAL HOMEMADE chocolate chip cookies in our room on the last night. That is something I have NEVER experienced in my life.

The beds were full sized but comfy and clean. The owner was VERY nice and accomodating. I would easily stay there again.

Stayed a night at this motel in Feb. 2015 along with a colleague who was helping me with field research. The proprietor was friendly and helpful both when I called to make the reservation, and when we checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable.

All in all, I would stay here again. But I'll list a few pros/cons of things that could be good for some to know:

Pros:

- Clean

- Affordable

- Beds were comfortable

- Cable and wifi worked just fine (and we were in one of the furthest rooms from the office)

- Convenient location (on a road with other business, and a short drive to downtown Rogers City)

- Friendly owner

- Appeared to be adequate parking, even if the motel was more full

Cons (or potential cons):

- The bathroom was really tiny-- not much room for dressing or preparing for a shower

- The shower was literally the smallest I've ever seen-- it worked for me, but for someone really taller, heavierset, or with mobility issues it might be a challenge (I estimated from the tiles, and it was 2'x2.5' at most)

- No online reservation system/email, which is a convenience some might prefer

- Our room had a door to the next room-- it was blocked by the TV cabinet and opened towards our room, so we weren't concerned about anyone having access to our room, but we did wonder if there was a lock on the other side-- otherwise our room would have access to the next room over. There was also a pretty big (several inches) gap under the door between the rooms.
