Provided by YP.comThe people here are extraordinarily unprofessional, disrespectful and careless with other peoples property!
Mid-summer 2014 I brought my speed boat to Marinemax located in Rogers to have the alternator replaced. They put an alternator conversion kit, which corrected the initial problem, but the pulley did not align with the power steering unit causing undo pressure to the shaft. I noticed antifreeze spraying out the front of the engine and brought the speedboat back to have them fix the problems they caused. They wanted $2900 to fix it saying it was coincidental and by the way I would be charged $120 for the estimate if I did not give them the go ahead. I said no thanks, begrudgingly paid the $120 and went to pick up my boat. When I pulled up to get the boat I was horrified at its condition! They left it uncovered so it was soaking wet from the rain, the trailer fenders on both sides were scuffed with grease and sand and the tie down straps were stripped on one side and the fastener was pulled completely out of the hood on the other. I had an employee get the manager whose name is Dan. Upon hearing my complaint he said he would talk to the mechanic and get back to me. After two weeks of not hearing from him I gave Dan a call and he informed me that he hadn’t talked to the mechanic but he already knows his employees wouldn’t do that. He said that they did not cover my boat because they thought I would have them fix the boat again. I told him that the least he could do was give me back the $120 estimate fee I paid because of all the damage they had caused and he refused and then implied that I did the damage myself. I take pride in the condition of my boat and would never harm it. I am positive it was their carelessness that caused the new problems and the damage.
I hope this review will help warn others of the MarineMax culture. There are plenty of other marine service companies in the area that will treat your property with respect and handle any issues professionally.

Provided by YP.comBought a 2007 Sea Ray in winter. Paid a good deal of money to have it inspected (approx $350) by them and they noted a front fender issue. They noted it on the inspection and told me several times it was purely "cosmetic". Then, around 6 months later, I brought the boat to them and had them look at it again. They recommended that I fix it, especially if I planned to trailer boat. They wanted $150 to fix it when on the inspection report, they noted it then as only cosmetic. In my opinion, they used the good old bait and switch method. When they wanted to sell me the boat, it was "cosmetic". However, when they had the chance to profit from the work, "it posed a potential hazard while trailoring or turning". When I discussed my frustration with the GM, he said he could not understand why I would be upset. I explained to him several times why this seemed unfair. FINALLY he said he would pay to fix it after I said I would not return. However, he followed up by saying that he did not know if it would truly fix the problem. TELL ME why I paid you to inspect it the first time???? I will never do business here again! GM was rude, arrogant and did not seem to care about my impressions of his practice. He also stated he "could not understand why I was upset." Buyer Beware of brokerage!
