I switched to CVS.

I called at 9am to let the Walmart pharmacy know I needed a refill on a prescription and that I would be in around noon to get it. The lady who I spoke with was very helpful.

I get there at noon and the guy at the counter tells me they do not have the drug I need.

I was like... wut. He said they'd run out and wouldn't have any until Monday. I told him I called THREE HOURS EARLIER and wasn't told that and he says, "Well they wouldn't know it until they actually went to fill it." Okay fine, but could I not have been called when they went to fill it and told ahead of time that they didn't have it? That would've saved me a trip!

He said, "That's not something we do." I said "So... you don't have it and your customers don't get to know until they show up."
"Right. But we'll have it on Monday."

I can't just not take my insomnia medication and expect to still be functional by Monday. I have to take my medication to function. I have to.

He says, "They might be able to fill a partial." Again, something that would've been nice to know IF THEY'D F****** CALLED ME. He sends me to the drop off line and the lady says they can totally do a partial refill for me, no problem. 20 minute wait.

Okay, fine. My lunch break is nearly over at this point, but okay.

20 minutes go by. I go back to the counter and the guy is like, "We don't have it," and looking at me like I'm a psycho for coming back to the desk after he just told me they don't have my medication. I reminded him that he told me I could get a partial after speaking with the lady, and he stares and the screen for a second and says "be right back."

He comes back and tells me they forgot to put in the order for a partial refill and it will be ANOTHER 20 minutes.

Yet another reason in the already excruciatingly long list of reasons not to go to walmart. I don't even care if my copay is higher somewhere else. It's not worth the drive to that side of town for service like that. Ridiculous.

I went in to refill my time-sensitive prescription for three days in a row and every day they said they had "no record of me trying to refill it." Ended up switching to the CVS pharmacy and got a call from Walmart right after saying that they had my prescription FOUR DAYS AFTER I called it in and they're sorry and they messed up. Needless to say, I'm not picking that prescription up, and I'm not going back there. WAY too disorganized. If you want your prescription on time, I'd suggest you go to CVS or another pharmacy.
