Regional Youth Detention Centers is a part of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, which offers a range of supervision, detention, delinquency prevention, treatment and educational services for at-risk youths in collaboration with public, private and community entities. The department maintains a work force of more than 5,000 employees. The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice serves over 52,000 youths annually. The department manages nearly 40 detention centers and short- and long-term rehabilitation facilities. The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice operates the Division of Community Services & Intake and the Division of Programs & Secure Campuses. The department also offers a range of customer support services.
